I would not recommend unchecking the "Max Frame Rate". Instead set it to your monitors max refresh rate and leave it there. If you leave it unchecked and have a powerful rig it can cause problems in the main menu as the game doesn't have a cap on how high that can go and you dont want your gpu outputting thousands of FPS.

I second this and thank you for posting! Unless you live somewhere cold and like heating up your room with your video card, there's really no reason to generate additional fps beyond your monitor's capabilities. Also if you are a streamer and you want the best quality with minimal pixelation even with heavy animations and colors, matching the game fps to your stream's encoded fps will help!

your gpu wont be any hotter in the main menu than its gonna be when running the game... Just saying that its not really gonna make any difference unless you afk in the main menu for quite some time. Then yes

I can't speak for your GPU or anyone else's results, but I can speak for my GPU. It runs cooler, smoother, and streaming quality is much better, for me capping fps to 60 regardless of gameplay or menu screen. I don't have over 60hz refresh on my monitor and the extra fps is simply a waste of extra heat into my room if i dont need it (not to mention power consumption). Epic settings (2080 RTX) ​ 49c @ 450fps, 44c@ 175fps, 46c @ 250 fps, 39c @ 50fps and lower, taken from different Menu screens rendering at different fps. Gameplay uncapped, 58c @ 50-80fps (uncapped), 47-48c (60fps capped).

If you want to change the antialiasing slider (it greatly affects input lag) you need to first turn off DLSS. After you change the value you can renable DLSS and the antialiasing will stay on whatever you set it to.

This is the 1kth times I have been saying this> 1. Anti aliasing=DISABLED. 2. Window Mode=FULL SCREEN. 3. Post Processing =LOW These are the ones that are killing everyones' fps also never use the "Graphics Presets" because they don't do what they are supposed to do (improve performance)!!.

having a 50 inch 4k TV and running the game at 1080p looks like sh**... and anything above medium settings at 2160p runs at 15 - 30 fps... sadly

i dont need this to run smoother, i just want the ocean to stop being so damn blurry i cant see jackshit qwq gasmask and scubamask dont help, resolution rising doesnt help, r.tonemapper.sharpen doesnt fix it either, depthoffield command doesnt help im at the end of my rope, anyone know ANY way to fix the blurryness of the ocean? i dont need it to be perfect but i have very very bad eyesight and the blurryness of the ocean is really killing my enjoyment of the game and im no ini expert, so if anyone knows how to fix it (wether by editing ini) please tell me, i would literally be unbelievably greatful

Hey guys, I believe this is a fog issue for whatever reason... You'll want to hit function key 1 and esc to bring up the little command prompt on the bottom of the screen. You'll then type, r.volumetricfog 0 You can also remove the clouds to increase fps and in my opinion makes the game look better. It would be r.volumetriccloud 0 Hope this helps.
