You can just pillar down for support. The connectors need to go a certain direction with the track arrows.

so from what I can figure out, all the tracks have a directional arrow which decides where the train faces and what is 'forward' and track can only join in the direction the arrows are facing. You can not join track where the arrows oppose. so if you split the tracks from another track that will have to be its own loop otherwise you will have to travel in reverse. there is no way to double back and travel the opposite direction on a layed track. So for point to point travel you will have to travel in reverse or loop the track completely around to where you started. Rather basic but the best you can do is have a hub or circular track at you base or center location then create loops off that track for different destinations. This makes it pretty bulky but once you start thinking in loops its not so bad. I am sure someone good with model trains can think of better designs for a single direction circuit.

Just get snails. you can make 100per snail per hour. 10 snails an easy 1000 an hour.

@@TDDY_-iy1vwthat’s exactly what I do. Throw some snails in a lil pen, or in my greenhouse and never stress over paste again. Once I’ve got my snail farm up, that’s when I know I’m truly settled in.

@@perineum6 it is at the beginning, for sure. Getting a beehive, some crops and a fridge for those crops make life much easier. Especially when you eventually get the Industrial Cooker. I actually level up food on my snails so I don’t have to feed them all the time. They gain 500 per cake, and will only eat when they are missing 500 units of food. I feed my snails like once a week or every other week (depending). After leveling up their food, I can let them starve down a while. Then I make a couple batches of cakes, putting a few on each snail so they max out (or near it), then all the extra cakes go in a fridge for next time. Then over the course of the next week or so, I don’t worry about feeding them. Makes life so much simpler in the long run.

they look cool but how is trains gonna work with 10 diff tribes in a server, can they connect, can they clip or go under or over each others........ if they are like normal structures then your gonna find it very hard using these with other tribes around and you know on official the alpha tribe with build a track instantly and cause everyone issues. i think these would be amazing if on a private server with friends in the same tribe. any other way i just cant see it going well lol

This is the sort of thing i worried about. I havent bought the pack. I wanted to hold off and see how it works. But i KNEW the tracks would be something that would be awfully implemented. Thst just seems to be wildcards gimmick now. The more i look at it all, the less i think there is value. Seeing too many people ssying stuff like "you just cant afford it, brokie". Which pretty much sums up why were in this situation with distrust for wildcard. Too many in the community buying blindly. But, i digress. Ill wait for a sale. Shame there arent more content creators pointing out the flaws. Youre the first i have seen say "the tracks are fiddly and need work". Most others i have seen have just said the trains are great. Need a little more honesty all round. So i appreciate that you do that.

These trains presumably won’t get much use on pvp servers due to these limitations, but seem to be more designed for smaller servers or pve.

The trains seem very much like a PvE focused addition into the game, and I am all for it. It will be great for roleplay servers and private/community servers (with friends!)

Got a feeling the bobs pack will only be usable on single or unofficial servers,don't see how 50 ppl or more can have traintracks all over the maps,especially if ppl want to build tracks near resource spawns

Foundations support three ceiling tiles the track looks to be three ceilings long, pillars and abit of proper thought and itl be easy 😂

I think a premade loop around the map with an NPC driver would have made more sense. You know, like Red Dead did YEARS AGO.

That may have made sense in terms of convenience wise, but that removes player control and also breaks the atmosphere of Ark, after all the the arks are supposed to be mostly empty world for the player to leave their mark on and to conquer, if the train was prebuilt into the map, then the game would have to either have it be unmanned, or suddenly introduce living human npcs who presumably have to stick around.

The trains seem like they'd be good for resource farming. Just make a circuit going around a lot of resource points that eventually leads back to your base. It'll take a while to probably perfect it but it can definitely be useful and won't cost you a tame if something bad happens.

Series S should have never been a thing. It has forced game devs to dumb down games that run fine on pc/series x but they can only make their games so bad before performance has to be sacrificed on a lesser model. You should be pissed at Microsoft for the poor quality on your series s, not ark.
