He certainly has the speed. Would like to see this horse come off the pace. A 20 horse field and a bad post will result in a tough battle to get out front. Plus he’ll have to keep an eye out for Tiz the law coming off the pace to mow him down. Still, I like what I saw. Adding 4 months though gives a lot of horses time to develop. Come September we would have had all 3 triple crown races , Haskell, and Travers with just 2 months more til BC. This derby could be one to go bombs away with the 20-1 + horses.. who knows? If a horse named Bizarro or twenty twentydoover gets in I may just pick that!

Nadal Ran Faster...Nadal also Showed he can Rate and Still Dominate...Going to be interesting to see if Charlatan can "Clear" the Lead against a Field of other High Quality Speed and if he cant can he sit off pace and still be as effective

Because he knew this race was over, by splitting the race in 2, they ruin the race, Charlaton ran against donkeys and Bob got 2 easy victories for the same race, should have been Nadal vs Charlaton..

@@deathstar1389 They HAD to split the race into two divisions, doofus, because the track at Oaklawn Park cannot accommodate a 20-horse field like Churchill Downs. When a race is split, trainers' entries are routinely split between the divisions. Same thing happened with 2 other horses in the field.

Nadal finished this race 2 seconds faster than Charlatan in Stretch...This Means Nadal was running MUCH MUCH faster in the stretch than Charlatan

What are u talking about? They finished with almost the same exact identical time. Nadal ran 1:48.34 n charltan ran 148:49 just a fraction faster . It literally will be maybe long neck half length difference between at the wire. Nadal only ran faster maybe in the stretch cuz he didn’t go 22.3 opening quarter like charltan did .. and besides charltan was barely asked to run in the stretch he was on cruise control still. U haven’t even really seen what’s under the hood yet.. nadal was pushed more.
