This Pursuit was initiated in Sherwood, Arkansas, by the Sherwood Police Department. It traveled into North Little Rock, where NLRPD, took Primary. Once the Pursuit crossed the Arkansas River, into Little Rock, ASP Trooper Jacob Byrd, wasted "NO TIME" in performing a TVI. Here's the NLRPD footage, as well as their police report on the incident and the suspects court status.
On May 18th, 2024, at approximately 2059 hours, I observed a single Sherwood PD unit in pursuit of a maroon Chrysler 300 (AR:ROBN1) southbound in the 4000 block of JFK.
I advised dispatch of the situation and attempted to catch up to the pursuit with my emergency lights and siren activated in an effort to support the Sherwood PD unit. The pursuit merged onto I-30WB from JFK, and at this point I continued to follow as a supporting unit. Officer Tetkoskie and Sgt. Lyon became second and third in the pursuit. The pursuit continued on I-30 westbound and merged onto I-630, traveling westbound at approximately 90mph. The suspect exited onto Woodrow, disregarding the stop sign, and merged back onto I-630, traveling westbound. The suspect exited again on Cedar and began to travel southbound on Cedar. At this point, Sherwood PD advised that they were discontinuing the pursuit.
Due to the suspect's manner of driving and disregard for other traffic on the roadway, Sgt. Lyon advised that we would continue the pursuit. I continued my role as a supporting unit and followed the pursuit with my lights and siren activated. The pursuit continued south on Cedar at speeds over 50mph in a residential area. The pursuit turned west onto W. 15th and then turned south onto Lewis St. Upon approaching the 2800 block of Lewis, ASP arrived on scene and became primary in the pursuit. A T.V.I. (Tactical Vehicle Intervention) was performed by ASP in the 2900 block of Washington, causing the Chrysler to become disabled. The driver was taken into custody and identified as Kenneth Robinson.
Sherwood PD arrived on scene and took custody of Robinson for their original charges. Robinson stated that he had a heart condition, and Mems was contacted to evaluate Robinson. Upon Mems arrival, they determined that Robinson needed to be transported to Baptist Health Hospital for further treatment. Robinson Due to Robinson being in the custody of Sherwood PD, Robison was given a Recognizance Appearance Agreement with a court date of 06/11/2024 at 0900 hours. The vehicle was towed by Sherwood PD. This concluded my involvement. Reference ASP report (#202409220ASP) and Sherwood PD report (#2024-016107) for more information on this incident. My MVR (Unit 2015) was active during this incident.
