Farther and farther Andrew to the north, and here he is in the city of Arkhangelsk - in the city of Pomors!
The city was founded by Ivan Vasilyevich the Terrible in 1584! Peter the Great also paid great attention to this city. The city stands on the Northern Dvina River, which flows into the White Sea. In the city center on the banks of the Northern Dvina is the Archangel Michael Cathedral, which amazes with its majesty even from afar. The once prosperous river-sea station is sleeping quietly!) Next to it, the diesel icebreaker Dikson is resting from winter work.
Several ancient churches are located in the historical center (St. Nicholas Church; the Church of St. Zosima, Savvaty and Herman the Solovetsky Wonderworkers; the Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God).
On the pedestrian avenue Chumbarova-Luchinsky gathered all the storytellers of the seaside (Shergin, Pisakhov, Kozma Prutkov, Senya Malina) and a monument to Russian wives - the shores of the family hearth - blunder!)
On the embankment, one cannot pass by the monument to the seal, which saved many lives from hunger and cold during the Great Patriotic War.
Summer, heat, well, how Andryukha will pass the beach!)
Arkhangelsk is a city of contrasts, here in the center there are both new houses and old ruined barracks! There is something to work on!
Well, winter has come and Arkhangelsk has sparkled with new colors!
I visited a unique crossing through the channel of the Northern Dvina to Kegostrov. Ships pass through it in winter. I just saw the icebreaker Dixon at work.
Well, what would winter be without Maslenitsa! Pancakes, round dances, burning a stuffed Maslenitsa and swimming walruses in the hole! Frost -20, but they have nothing to do!)))) In general, we had a fun winter!)))
Here is the city of Arkhangelsk in both summer and winter!)
With you was a guide Andrey, channel Guide on ...
