Babel was a really good event, we finally got a lot of backstory for the Doctor, the player representation, prior to their amnesia and it's not an understatement to say that a LOT of people came out of the event either crying or really really mad at the Doctor. It's fairly recent, only aa few months ago now.

Babel,together with Chapter 14 that came right after it,finally answered the five year long mystery behind Rhodes Island,the Doctor,his memory loss,and Amiya,along with what all the planning and scheming lead to. Darknights Memoir straddled the issue,but now we finally have the bloodied and violent answers. Whilst the future is yet to be seen.

Man, I wish you were able to experience the Babel side story as it basically a prequel to the events of why Rhodes Island is 'it is now.'

Without spoiling, the boss of this event was so surprising and heartbreaking. The whole story behind why you are fighting against the boss is extremely sad. Babel plays before the main story, and explains A LOT about why rhodes and everyone involved is so important. The event was right before Chapter 14, as it gave a lot of context for what would be happening in the last chapter of Act 2.

I love "The Opening", it starts off with the Login Theme motif and then your immediately hit by the weight of the pianos, the weight of your choice, one you wished you didn't have to make

Oh boy, i'll never forget how broken i felt when theresa told the story of the little puppet to Amiya, and then i realized why this theme is called Storyteller and how important is that title to Amiya and Theresa's story.

I love both of these songs a lot, really happy to see you listen to them. Babel is from October for the global server so its very recent. Something that any arknights player would notice in The Opening is the quiet violin? string parts in the first half of the song, because they are EXTREMELY reminiscent of (if not straight up the same as) the same instrument in the title screen of Arknights, which is imo very intentional as Babel is one of the MOST important events lorewise and has to do with many topics that are at the center of the game (the Doctor themselves, Originium, the organization you belong to, among others). I don't know if you're interested in listening to songs that you've heard only in Ambience Synesthesia, but if you are, I'd recommend Ad Astra, the Lone Trail lobby theme. Another good one would be the So Long, Adele lobby theme, Misty Memory, which actually has three versions: Day, Night (both of which are ingame) and Acoustic (not used ingame but equally worth listening to). Misty Memory is afaik super beloved by anyone who played the event so I'm kinda surprised no one's recommended it yet (or maybe I'm blind and didn't see it)

I just realized...the boss theme's title is "The Opening" and since Babel is the prequel story, that's basically the "start" of the game (I mean, even in story it makes sense: The game starts with the player character waking up with amnesia, the boss battle is about the player character losing their memory as a consequence of the decisions they and everyone else involved made)

I'd love if you could review 生路OST (From Path of Life), a rather new theme from Arknights' Ægir event. I am sad to see it fall so under the radar since it isn’t a battle theme or the lobby theme, but rather something that plays exclusively when a very... worrying plot thread is revealed in the story.

wooo let's gooo thanks for getting to these. the babel event is so good and also provides a ton of backstory and lore. it also hit global only a few months ago i'm hardly the only one to say this but storyteller sounds a lot like ender lilies (which i'm currently playing through rn). ender lilies also has some very beautiful music and apparently some people bought it just after listening to its soundtrack. calm, sad, wistful, etc the opening on the other hand sounds kind of sad, but in a determined kind of way...until the drop at 6:55 until 7:08. pure, unbridled anger. i have rewinded the sond so many times just to listen to that drop and its section. it's especially interesting bc the actual boss fight is nothing like you'd expect if you'd only listened to the song. unfortunately i didn't (and still don't) catch the motif at 7:39 in connection with storyteller :c this also means that's not the reason i said storyteller first xd (i said storyteller first just because it's calming and slower paced while the opening is more intense) for more arknights recommendations, i suggest "海洋的哺養" which is the trailer/lobby theme for the recent path of life event. for non arknights music, i shall continue requesting "the shadows" from taishi. as usual, thanks for getting to this with the reaction and analysis

i think i'm starting to catch the leitmotifs between the two now...? like at 0:42 and 1:08? in terms of rhythm though, that bit in the opening is present throughout the song, just with different chords i guess

I searched on your channel but couldn't find more than just 1 or 2 Girls Frontline tracks. I'm Arknights player so I know the OST of the game of course, but I just recently discovered GFL OST and good god, it has a lot of bangers so I want to share it with people. There's: 1. Shattered Connexion ED "Connexion" - probably the most universally loved track from what I've seen 2. 【GhostFinal】Solar Sea .feat Kinoko_蘑菇 3. Mythoclast 4. What Are We Fighting For? 5. 【GhostFinal & Kinoko蘑菇】Convolutional Kernel There's a lot more. The music of this game is great and that's how I started to play Arknights myself. After listening to the OSTs and reading a little about the story.

"The Opening" opened an old soul wound...😢 Therefore, a lot of angry words. Read only by those who know the plot of Babel I'm sure there will be some geniuses in the comments right now who will defend Old Doc - say he had a dilemma, oh gosh, tough choice and so on and so forth, and so on... So here's what I say: Old Doc is a wimp, a coward and a traitor. Yes, I realize that those who self-insert themselves into Doc have a hard to accept that fact.. But the fact remains: his project failed - *all* their projects failed, and the ones in the sarcophagi are dead. There was no point in continuing his the project. Oh, of course, there could also be the Priestess factor - his ex, who apparently(?) brainwashed him into continuing the project no matter what... But: If it was really his decision - then he is a coward and a traitor - *and no amount of “good” purposes justify his action. No purpose justifies murder, no matter if it is one woman or an entire nation or even an entire planet* Or if his decision was made under the influence of the Priestess/after brainwashing - then he is a wimp, a coward and still a traitor. So the blame for everything that happened, not only for the murder of Her Highness, but also for the war in Victoria and its consequences lies not only on him, but also on the Priestess (among other things...) And if Old Doc has paid the price for these sins...the Priestess has yet to pay it. BUT! I have to point out: He *was* as I described him. He's a completely different person now, thanks to Her Highness. The Doctor after “memory loss” - you can be proud, but the Old Doc can only be hated.
