Great vid man. I only laughed out loud when you dropped the second bolt because that's me EVERY time. Thanks for leaving that in so the rest of us feel normal.

I installed the same one on my 2011 Fatboy lo and it annoyed the heck out of me, my leg would press right up against it, except when cruising down the highway because I could move my right leg out. That thing gets hot hot! Once I got fed up with it I trimmed the bracket so could move it forward and it's perfect now!

That bike sounds pretty wicked. And thank you for the how-to video. I was curious where I would get the reading from. Glad to see I don't have to drill and tap anywhere.

My bike is a Wide Glide identical to yours aside from Big Radius exaust. The Big Radius made a huge difference. I had to loosen the front pipe and bracket in the back to give myself enough room to tighten up the sender unit with the oil pressure adapter. The top line was a bitch too but I got it just tight enough, used the hell out of pipe tape and loctite, and then used the little clamp provided to make sure the line isn't going anywhere. I'm praying it doesn't leak but as of right now I'm golden.

They are nice gauges I have the same one but, you have to forget about pressure when the engine gets hot because the gauge is located 12” above the sending unit/engine, will give you a zero pressure while idling, though I had lost pressure and started freaking out

So ….. as an Australian Male that doesn't read directions, does this mean the wife, girlfriend or the wife's girlfriend reads them to you? I only ask, because I am finding many similarities with you "Professional Australians" and us Outback want-a-bees. Except of course, you folk are way more professional. Nice looking oil gadget. I always figured the oil pressure was low, when everything locked up. This is probably a less expensive solution, huh?

@@SkidPig I like the look of the instrument and its placement. I do not like the look of the hose and routing. Way better on 1340 EVO as I have this on my FXR and my FXSTS. It originates directly below the gauge placement on those bikes using metal line. Similar to brake line metal. Looks way better.
