Wreaths Across America Day 2024 at Arlington National Cemetery

I've participated almost every year in the past 15 years. One year Arlington National Cemetery was blanketed with light snow while a lot of oak and maple trees still had (yellow and red) leaves. It was so beautiful. Of course the cemetery is beautiful all year long. Wreaths Across America is one the last activities in America that has not been politicized. It's just a nice feeling to be part of it.

Thank you JenialB, as a military brat, I genuinely appreciate that. The wives that stay home and raise the children are forgotten. It was always traumatic for me when Dad left. He would go to and fro Vietnam. I never wanted him to leave. If I hadn't of been aware of the war, I wouldn't have been so freaked out by it. I still consider myself fortunate that my father came home with all of his parts.

G'day and Merry Christmas to all at Arlington National Cemetery, That would have to be one of the best gestors of respect to those that have served and no longer with us that I have ever seen. An absolutely outstanding tradition that other countries should adopt. My highest admiration to all those in organizsing the event and to those bloody brilliant volunteers. BRAVO ZULU! Thanks for making me tear up too... Lest We Forget.
