I am so pleased to hear you sing your father's songs. Given that I am now an old Jewish person (a child of the 60s) it is beautiful to again listen to the songs/lyrics of your father Woody. I grew up with absent parents, so lyrics such as Woody's were a true a guide to helping me to live/figure out my religious life. I am blessed to have love and support from my family and shul members.

Just came across this. Gave me chills. His father started it all and he proudly carries on the tradition. Dylan knew how important Woody was and Arlo knows how important Bob is. It doesn't get any better than this. Pure talent, Pure respect.

Yes indeed, it's an amazing awesome song and I actually remember the words to it. One thing I love about the City of Angels is the fabulous venues for hearing outstanding concerts which I've been to since the mid 1960's. There, in a closet, are records that represent a few decades of marvelous music: folk, jazz, R & R, Soul, Blues and about anything played on piano. I've even got that Arlo Guthrie, umhum, and mighty fine listenin' I'd say! :-)
