This was my first Arlo video, and it's still my favorite. I remember the point in Nintendo's life when the Switch was called the NX, and I was dreaming of how I could be playing a game on my TV one minute and laying in bed the next minute. It sounds silly now, but back then it was a wild thought. The Switch has brought out so much JOY (and PAIN) to people, and it's pretty wild now to think there was a point where it never existed in the public conscious.

5 years later and I'm so grateful for this video. It's easy to forget that feeling of being in limbo between Wii U and just all the thoughts & feelings before the Nintendo Switch came out. I made videos on it and was very much involved in the news and hype but this video really made those memories come alive again in a cool way. I think Nintendo is in a fantastic place with the Switch 5 years in and it's the most I've ever enjoyed Nintendo as a lifelong fan. What if the next Switch was called the Switch NX? That would be such a Nintendo thing to do.

The Switch Lite was announced this morning and this video made me so nostalgic, I remember being so hype for the NX (it feels odd not calling it the Switch), I remember looking at 4chan for any kind of news. Now here I am with at least 2000 hours logged on my switch. Time flies.

Yeah, it’s nice and nostalgic to look back before the epic storm came about. I remember that in 2016, I was feeling like Nintendo was falling apart. It just seemed to be dying day by day. But I remember hearing the NX being talked about so much and everyone getting excited for it. I remember that people said it was going to be a console / handheld hybrid system, and I just thought that was just a dumb rumor that people were just hyping up, and I thought Nintendo wouldn’t actually do it. Then the announcement came that they planned to reveal the system, and I just hoped and prayed that it would be everything that I could ever dream of and it would get Nintendo back on the map in a most positive way. And then the day the reveal came, I was at my community college stuck in class, but immediately after class ended, I whipped out my phone, brought up the video, and watched it on my way out of class, and I knew after that trailer I needed this system more than I needed anything else in my entire life that isn’t human essentials. I had been dreaming of a home console that could be taken on the go since I was a little kid. I hated having to go on trips and stop playing my home console games because it was always hard to return to it after a couple of days had past. Nintendo gave me everything I dreamt of with this system, and I just look back now knowing that the thing I thought was a dumb rumor actually turned into the thing I have always wanted. 😄 (Sorry this was super long, I just felt like writing about my entire experience with the whole Switch process. This actually made me happy to write. 😅)

I will say however that waiting around for a Nintendo console after its launch usually ends up being a good thing if you want a limited edition console (look at how many special edition 3DS consoles they put out).

Unless Nitny are planning to make new types of games on a graphical as well as indepth way as Star Citizen, or the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, then theres really nothing to fuss over really. I honestly dont understand what is so fancinating or innovative about being able to play mario or pokemon games with graphical qualities on a par with the current gen consoles, but simply with the choice of playing them at home on a Tv, or out and about mobile? This was a good throwback to attatch to the end of the recent _"The Switch is in its Twilight Years"_ vid. What a perfectly aged video this has become. So melonchic and ominous to watch in retrospect due to how perfectly appropriate. Alro was prepaired for a disruption, and we got it. Fantastic video! I think you should make a sequel/remake of this one in the future, since there's more discussion to have about the "calm before the storm" of a new console reveal topic. As for the question. Nintendo NX ended up being a hybird system called "Nintendo Switch" and is basically their biggest console of all time with many amazing games on it. Also also, that clip at 3:23 is from one of Arlo's previous videos. Nice to see that insanely hard level here!
