Been watching all your videos after watching your interview with Vigorous Steve. You put out great stuff and it's very generous how you reveal your coaching 'secrets' in almost every pod you've done. Thanks a lot for that. Speaking of Steve, I wanted to ask you what your take is on using antioxidants/anti-inflammatory supps while on cycle. Steve is a proponent of taking a lot of Vitamin C, E, Fish Oil, etc. I've read reports on studies showing how supplementing Vitamin C and E reduce rates of muscle growth and strength gain. On the other hand, I've also heard you say that you tend to shy away from something like Metformin or Berberine if possible, due to the anti-inflammatory effects they have and how they might conflict with muscle growth, even if in a small amount. I'm just curious if it's worth to take the vitamins to keep your organs (basically asking about kidneys, here) healthier, while giving up some gains or if the oxidative stress of using gear, training hard and eating a ton of food is going to be so much that supplementing antioxidants is like a drop of water in a lake. What's your stance on this? Thanks!

Muscle growth is an inflammatory process, so any anti-inflammatory will technically act against growth. But it’s not black and white. If your joints are inflamed and your health is poor, you’re not going to grow either-so generally the very very small potential reduction in muscle protein synthesis from natural anti-inflammatory compounds is worth it for the improved rate of growth you have when you’re able to train without pain and remain healthy

Hey Justin, cool to see you’re getting into some more diverse training. Not sure if you’ve got a kettlebell in your gym there, ever gotten into some KB training? For a long time big guy looking to diversify 100 swings/day can be an amazing and rewarding conditioning tool👍

Lol to the bicep curl. More camber! Looking strong Justin. Powering through that bicep tear. Just one recommendation if you aren’t doing it already. Find a partner who has lots of experience and will work with you consistently. Try and get 5 good pulling sessions with both arms a week. Like sparring in boxing….. same principles of doing the actual activity to get stronger and better. Content is great brother. Everyone has what you talked about. Very few edit their own and there are ins and outs to each social. I hate the big productions but that’s me.

Appreciate the help! I’d love to find someone to pull with, but I’m out in the middle of nowhere. I’m on Armbet, but there’s only like 3 other people within a 50 mile radius and two of them haven’t logged on in 3 years. If anyone knows of a group that pulls together somewhere in southwest Michigan, I’d love to join in and see what I can learn!
