The highlights continue with some more of my landings while flying First Person in King Of The Hill using my HOTAS, this time I'm also sharing some of the love whilst flying in the USA KOTH servers!

Turns out this was a hacked server. People kept on pointing this out to me as I never noticed at the time I was flying. I thought that you got more points for staying alive for a long time, turns out you dont, and this server was hacked (I'm not a KOTH expert, I only play it to fly people around) As a result my account was banned (rightly so) and I have contact the KOTH admin team and had my stats wiped to start a new account again. Luckily I have not been perma banned, I would ask all players to be VERY CAREFUL with which servers you join and use this tool to check which servers are legit non hacked ones - a3cdn.com/

I usually have more teamkills than kills with the way the chopper crash mechanic works. Just not a ground fighter unless I have a real gun in my hands

Hey boss! Yeah as you found out mate, I didn't even notice at the time or even when editing the video! Like a dumb-ass I thought I was getting more XP for staying alive for a long time after people started asking about it in the comments section. Luckily I got my account restored by the cool admin guys but I've mainly been on RHS KOTH these days and have not flown in Vanilla for a while. Thanks for your kind works noble sir! You inspired me to start flying in KOTH and I've never had so much fun in Arma before. You're an inspiration to a lot of people, myself included, keep up the great work mate and thank you, I am but a mere mortal following in your footsteps :D

Nice landings, i played a lot of arma 3 doing KOTH landings so i know how hard it is when you need to land in a small space. i use the HOTAS warthog setup for it but no rudder pedals which makes things interesting xD. what servers do you normally play on?

Normally RHS servers my friend, so either US5 or EU3. I fly Vanilla when RHS is quiet but normally I'm in the RHS servers.

Stick flying is so much more impressive than mouse and keyboard... also you can actually stick the landings 90% of the time unlike misconduct, where the landings may be quick but theres only a 50/50 chance of pulling it off!

What's most impressive to me is the strict 1st person POV and none of the stupid flashy backward take offs that get him killed like with misconduct.

LK He is absolute crap, everyone can do that harsh pulling. controlled? not so much. He always pulls and than goes for somewhere to land. Good pilot know, where they wabna land and can do it. And btw: The landings arent faster...he pulls backmaneuvers to break or even get pull ups...which are deadly. Totally rampage landing like a 12 year old. My small cousin used to fly like misconduct. I accidently stumbled over that guys youtube videos twice aand asked him, if he doesbt want to learn proper landings.

To specific he MrStubbs1981 this pilot, and misconduct, are good. They are what i call 'reactive pilots'. they can create an LZ on the fly and rather than understand what they will be facing they tend to deal with it there and then. This pilot in particular has my interest as he flies in First person, which at these speeds is very hard to do. I Understand what your saying, that these pilots wouldn't do well in a organised landing procedure, however this pilot style is very useful to have for understanding hot, tight or otherwise difficult LZs.

well, I really enjoyed playing with joystick but landing was way easier for me with mouse and keyboard also mouse was good for looking around on 3rd person with Pawnee although joystick was a blast for shooting with Pawnee

Hi Paul! Yeah Im still around in AH, not flown for a few weeks tho, I might pop in there again this weekend for some transport action! I don't change any of the settings for ARMA flying mate, I just fly with the default settings. The only thing I did was set my X52 throttle as my collective and that was it, I didn't mess around with any of the sensitivity etc if that's what you mean?

Have you flown mouse and keyboard before? I know most pilots fly mouse and keyboard in Arma 3 myself included and I would say I'm an above average pilot overall. Would you say it's worth it to make the switch to joystick / throttle? How many hours am I looking at in the editor before I'm back to proficient?

No mate I've never tried mouse and keyboard. The only reason I would switch to Joystick is because its lots of fun, you can still fly very well with the mouse just as well as you can with the stick tho. Time in the editor is hard to judge because it depends on the pilot but I would guess it would take 2-3 hours to get proficient then a few weeks of flying to get very good at it.

insane. just insane. i would LVOE to play with you dude! :D i use controller exclusively for flying both plane/jets to Helicopters. i am a decent CAP pilot (Close Air Support for those who didnt understand :P ) and love to do danger close. i am really good at covering other pilots going for a landing or troop dropoff. i normally fly low and fast untill i get close to the LZ and go a bit higher and start to shoot. normally with a few missile barrages and then following up with MG cover-fire. would LVOE to do something like that with you dude :D amazing skills man. :)

Hey brother thanks for the kind words man! I tend to only play in the Infantry Only servers bro so I don't get to interact with the CAS boys too often. I really only play RHS KoTH now, its by far my favourite version. Keep up the good work in the CAS tho, that sounds fun!

Not bad, nice skills... but I found funny how everybody think's that an acrobatic pilot is automatically a "good pilot", just like somebody else said... in Arma there's two types of pilots, the Dslyecxi type and the Misconduct type, where you can tell the difference right away about "Simulation" and "Arcade" type of flight, with your skills you could be a really good "Simulator Pilot" hope to see you on the other side brotha... good shit!

I normally only fly on a First Person only server but very often its full and takes ages to get in so I decided to join another server that turned out to be the one you see the footage from. I just sorted by player count then joined a server with an open slot. I only play ARMA to fly the helicopters and in KOTH the only thing I do is fly the MH9 which costs $800 in game so I certainly don't go around looking for any cheat servers or anything like that.
