Good tip about movement when you spot the enemy. Try to move only directly at them, and slowly. Moving sideways to your enemy makes you easier to spot, so if you want another point of view at them...find something to cover you before you start moving sideways. You move in, you move back out the same way...find another entrance...repeat.

Man i'd love to be part of a recon team in Arma. Pulling off proper, helpful recon missions as part of a coordinated and tactical team. Alas, I haven't the time to search and join any of the communities out there. I think recon would really suit my playstyle that values information and stealth over attack and direct combat.

Try looking at ALiVE units/groups- The way alive works recon on enemy forces when undetected can help you later on, as the enemy act differently at different locations, or have areas of high priority that they are more likely to send a QRF to. For example if one day you see a large amount of civilians enter a building, you can investigate it in real-life days later (persistent servers) to see if they are manufacturing IED's or OPFOR is recruiting militia from the civilian population. Things like enemy convoy routes, where enemy camps/ weapon positions are, all can be gathered as Intel before acting. If this sounds like what you are looking for, I go by ' (4SFG) jarrad96 ' on Steam.

I was originally a 4066 (Small Systems Computer Specialist) and whatever the Defense Message System MOS was, then that shifted over to IIRC 0653 and 0651 when the MOS codes changed for comm shortly after I got in. I was a rifle/pistol coach as well towards the end but I forget what that MOS code was, it's been awhile. Thanks for the kind words!

i would love to see a shack tac- or unofficial shack tac mission that displays this kind of recce. i know you have other ones like the forrest recon video. but a Dslyecxi, Taconic, and Ghost Boots recon team mission would be so entertaining. BTW i dont really care about ghillies or snipers, i actually kind of despise them.
