Great video, however there is a small error you made. You have longitude and latitude switched in the grid coordinates section 05:05. Longitude is the vertical lines while latitude is the horizontal lines. the finding of the grid coordinates part is correct though.

By default, Arma shows the six-digit grid. ACE being a realism mod switches the map coordinates off. To switch them back on got Addon Options>ACE Map and click the Show Cursor Coordinates option. If playing on a server, this option needs to be set at the server level as well! Hope this answers your question!

This is a great question! First, determine what you're looking for in a group. How much of a time commitment can you make. What style of gameplay do you want? Do you want ranks? Do you want set roles? Once you know that, look on the BI Forums, Reddit and even Steam has a form for players looking for a unit. Bearing in mind the commitment you're making to a new group, you should make sure its right:) We review who we are, when we meet and what players can expect from the group on our forum. Most groups will have that info somewhere. Let us know if we're a good fit for you.

Not sure about the Military, but every GPS, and map directions using grids has gone lat to long. Its also the way you're supposed to read it when navigation by boat.

Thanks for your feedback. From what we understand, reading a map is always across and up. www.advnture.com/how-to/how-to-read-a-map a non-military walk through notes; 'To take a grid reference, remember the useful phrase: ‘along the corridor and up the stairs’. As for longitude and latitude, they're used ingame as is shown in the video, but certainly appreciate the confusion

Thats a bug with the unitcapture script we used to make the video. Sometimes it gives that twitching effect :)
