I actually knew Zain was a monster when I played him in a local, but the moment I knew he was gonna be a problem was at Smash Con 2015 when he beat a VA legend known as Cyrain

I was watching chilli's stream a lot back then, around 2016. He and Azen were gassing Zain up, talking about how good he is. Next thing I know, I see he beat Plup at TBH. Next smash con he was in my pool and I clutched my round 1 so I could go destroyed in the ditto LOL

dash grab without jump cancel will only grab a crouching puff as marth if the puff is inhaling air. you will notice puff breaths in and out so zain had to time the grabs with the inhale

This video could also have talked about how Zain was the first marth to learn the Yoshi matchup, and be the first marth to start beating yoshi sometimes, because Zain was willing to lose and learn the matchup, until he got better.

Unrelated to the topic I gotta say...The older I got the more I am starting to lean more towards Armada as my favourite Melee Player/Person. I dunno what it is but his matureness is much more appealing to my older self nowadays.

Zain is isane but his marth is awesome and his roy was awesome too. Maybe roy is not as bad as people say he is sure he is not top 5 but still Roy got some stuff

nah I think Roy is pretty fairly ranked, you have to literally be zain to get consistent wins against top players with him

the gameplay, the online, tournaments, local scene, compelling characters, party mode (items, fun stages), modding scene, controller scene, etc. I mean there are a billion reasons around playing Melee in 2023

that's like saying why do people still play chess thousands of years later? Nobody is gonna play a remaster (Or very few). Unless the remaster preserves all gameplay, which could be accomplished, but that is a brand new concept which has never been perfected before.

I knew it was going to be about Zain. I know that Zain is getting all the results rn, a lot. But he aint the only Marth, marthing it out. Also he uses an special controller with a custom stick that resets to neutral position very easily thats how he is so consistent with the pivot f-smashes. m2k & ppmd watching a vid titled: "How One Player Redefined Marth" 😥

You’re right that other players have done a lot for marth. I agree it would’ve been cool I’m the video to give a shout-out to how Zain built off what they accomplished. However it is definitely fair to say that Zain redefined marth and I think m2k and ppmd would agree. Even for those two marth was mostly just a spacee killer and Zain has single handedly changed this. He has flipped a ton of top tier matchups on their head for their character in ways no prior marth could come close too

He's literally the only Marth who even tried for Puff and Pika tho so idk what to tell ya buddy

Yeah but before Zain so many of Marth's MUs were really underdeveloped for YEARS because M2K and PPMD would play other characters for those MUs and that has questioned Marth's SOLO viability because before zain's come up PewPewU was the best solo marth but even then he had many walls that prevent him from making far in bracket like Falcons and such like Zain's win at Shine 2018 has convinced me that yes you can solo main Marth in today's meta and I know you may say "oh but what about PP's victory at Apex 2015?" but he used Falco in a few matches like when people talk about how much Zain has done in marth's development in compared to M2K and PPMD it's really about solo marth

Why in Melee does Goldeen do nothing? Shouldn't it be a magicarp? That would be more lore accurate. Did the developers get those two pokémon confused with each other? Because they are similar looking fish.
