@@siIverspawn Link still struggles mightily with mobility. From lackluster airspeed to the worst jump squat in Vanilla, he wouldn't become top 1. But specifically access to the Frame 1 invincibility would be crazy for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was high tier (~top 4)

I think you still doubt DK but seeing ness not bottom 3 warms my heart. The kid has a godlike punish game with dairs on sideplat and uair/up tilt/nair carrying them over towards the platforms to setup for those. His recovery is awful especially at low % where you have to use your slow double jump. His lack of range and useless special moves also holds him back. Oddly enough hes got good results with both fray & raychu doing well with him. Fray almost beating kurabba gives me hope

If y’all are avid team smash players. I think Mario is actually a-tier with a partner. Link and Dk are also higher as teammates. I think solo tier list is definitely different than team battle tier lists.

Doubles is definitely an entirely different beast. Mario and Luigi are definitely much better in Doubles while Falcon and Yoshi drop off a bit. I would have to think a lot about it but yeah completely different beast

The only difference I have from his tier list is that I would put Ness as a Mid Tier.

I think Ness and Samus certainly have arguments for being Mid Tier, both have way clearer strengths than the other normally considered "Low Tiers". Funny though how both of their main punish trees revolve around side plat trapping tho

I don’t know how I feel about Kirby being in the same tier as Yoshi and Falcon. For Yoshi and Falcon they both lose to Kirby and it’s clearly loses (anything more than 55:45 is clearly winning imo). If Pika was banned Kirby would have to be banned as well as he beats all the other characters sure Samus is a “check” but that is all she is a “check” not a counter similar to how Falcon is for Pika (Kirby vs Samus is closer than Pika vs Falcon but it’s similar). Now I’m not saying Kirby should be in the same tier as pika that would be absurd but I do think he is clearly better than Yoshi and Falcon in the same way he is clearly worse than pika.

Players & meta are always evolving even if the game hasn’t changed, new tech can always be advanced :D
