This was a silly movie and all but tbh they knew how to make some great enjoyable stuff back then. Movies like these come and stay with you forever no matter the flaws. And the OST man. 'Remember me' by Journey still plays in my car to this day.Still remember buying the cassette back in the day !

Liv Tyler is the real life daughter of Steve Tyler from Aerosmith. The video to Aerosmith's Dont Wanna Close My Eyes features military musicians playing along in the wings. I believe Aerosmith is the first rock band to ever perform with the military.

A big part of why this movie is edited so frantically is because it was rushed by the studio to make a release deadline, and they gave them only 2 weeks to make it. Yep they filmed this entire thing in fourteen days lol. For context that’s 4 days less than when they had time to prepare for the asteroid in the movie
