Wesley did all his stunts and the blade movies saved marvel from having to sell off more of they characters to keep from going bankrupt

At 21:41, Blade is a hybrid, with both human and vampires present and expressed. He cuts the roots of this symbolic totem to show his independence from the people who made him and raised him--his adoptive father, his mother, and the vampire who bit her. 🤔

What up. This right here was history in the making. The jumpoff for Marvel's golden age on film, the first character from the comics to have a box-office smash and also the first, real kick-a** Vampire movie. The 'Blade/Eric Brooks' character was Inspired by blaxploitation films (a la' Shaft & Blacula) and debuted 50 years ago in 'The Tomb of Dracula' comics as one of Drac's many foes. This was the 2nd Rated-R movie for a Marvel character after The Punisher (1989). Prior to being casted as Blade, Wesley Snipes as actor/producer was involved with developing Black Panther (at the time, a Sony property). Frustrated with how to make BP, he received the BLADE script and said yes to it, not knowing that Blade or Black Panther were both from Marvel. So much was considered for director Norrington's vision and the first installment broke the mold. Blade 2 is the first great sequel of the age as well. Less than 2 years after X-Men (2000) and over a month before Spider-Man (2002). director Gullermo Del Toro truly came through in a clutch and i loved his work since Mimic (1997). You see more of the comic-book sensibility at an extreme approach with the drama, horror, suspense, humor and action. The 3rd film, Blade Trinity is considered the worse of the trilogy based on "behind the scenes' controversy. Yet it was still successful at the box office. If you do react to it, at least watch Ihe extended cut (better, tolerable). The Blade trilogy was written by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel,The Dark Knight Trilogy). I'm just glad that The Daywalker has been getting more love as an character that changed the game. That since these films, we appreciate how far the genre has come.

Wasnt the first super hero movie but might have been the first black suepr hero movie and was the movie that saved Marvels ass. They went bankrupt at one point which is why Song owns a bunchnof different properties and basically that situation would have been way worse if Blade didnt happen

Blade 1 is the best to me but Blade 2 & 3 do have more action. In some movies I like the more action like Rambo 2. Rambo 3 is a good movie you may want to check out India.
