You are right on track with the inclusion of the Omega Mark series watches in your video. Very good topic and am enjoying my Omega Speedmaster Mark II 145.014 racing dial as I watch this. Good work Armand!

I purchased my Navitimer 806 in 1966 when I was 20, as my only watch it has been worn every day apart from when away being serviced. No problems in the 55 years of ownership despite various jobs I had not really being suitable for this type of watch wearing but it was not purchased with an eye to future value but for the functions, my early driving trips into Europe were aided by Km to miles feature.

The 806 is a wonderful watch and the 41mm size is perfect especially when the watch is fairly thin!

Love these videos on vintage pieces! As you do so much research and put so much effort into your content, that it is very informative and entertaining. Quite a lot of other watch channels seem to focus too much on reviews and don't go into a lot of detail or history about the pieces. Keep it up Armand. Oh and what ever happened to your website you were working on?

+Logan Smith: Thank you very much for the kind words. The website is a work in progress and will most likely still retain the concept of being a source of easily accessible watch news.

Thank you for another well informed review of some classics and making aware of the Yema...a piece that has passed me by but requires further investigation...

Any Navitimer is enough to give you that vintage style and look is good enough for me even the 50th anniversary which looks the ssme as this one a bit.

Funny to see the different pieces now for the datejust when the Navitimer 806 or 7806 did not move that much in prices. The Heuer Carrera or Autavia also increased a lot around 10000€ now or more. You forgot 2 gems chronograph with the valjoux 72 in that video, the Universal Genève compax (Nina Rindt for exemple) and the beautiful Enicar Sherpa Graph (like the Jim Clark for exemple).

Vintage pieces are truly wonderful, however much as I respect them enormously, I really don't have the time to all the homework necessary. Also the money to get them serviced correctly. Therefore I feel I could not get into this area of collecting. Great interesting video as usual and always an eduction, thank you Armand.

Automatic Navitimers from ~2002 to ~2010 using the very robust Valjoux 7753 run about £3,000 to £4,000 on the pre-owned market. The model with the blue sunburst dial and baton markers is particularly desirable and gets snapped up quickly when they come up on Chrono24.

Seagull ST19 movements offer really great value for mechanical chronographs from $300 upwards! Eg. baltic watches uses them. it is basically old venus movements.

You have to be careful with Sandoz watches because a lot of them are coming from India were there unfortunately FAKES
