There isn't the awkwardness I feel in so many interviews where there's the interviewer that is kinda interviewing and kinda gawking at the celebrity creating a bit of awkwardness I see in so many interviews. Whereas here it's like Army and Dakota, they are both on the same page, respecting each other and curious about each other's experiences. It feels so honest and real to listen to them. I just love the behind the scenes detail reveals about Dakota's breakdowns before filming (who would have guessed!) and the fake cocaine snorting tricks - way cool. I totally agree the independent scene allows so much much range and intricacy. Especially if you have an auteur who is directed, writing and in charge of the whole movement of the film. Glad in the past 5/6 years the indie has made a big comeback and financing is reaching some really interesting productions outside the central studio model.
