I knew of finding needle in the haystack, but now there's finding needle on the floor, if you don't hit the board. Hahaha. Needle for 2 MTRS, pencil for 4 MTRS, fletchless arrow in 10 MTRS , 1/2" pvc pipe at 15 MTRS...anything flies with Armin specially time. Muchos Gracias Armin by sharing thru your heart.

As a child, we would have a small piece of sewing string left in the eye and then the sharp end will face forward when throwing the needle longer distances, the other end being slowed down by the thread. A little tuft of cotton ball attached to the eye and you have a dart for a blow gun...

Just control the balance and use your fingers to create enough of a back spin to negate any natural forward spin in a throw and you will be able to throw anything without worrying about the spin your welcome. Thats the way to throw for combat instead of doing the silly magician knife throw that requires you to maintain the same distance in a throw which doesn't work well in real life because a target is moving and the spin would cause your throw to fail this way the blade stays towards the target instead of spinning
@bow2me2610 ай бұрын
Master that and you will be able to throw anything from knives to needles to scissors to swords etc.

I'm not as good as you shooting bows, even if I have done it a lifetime. So I think. But throwing things, thats my spesiality. And you are doing it wrong. That technic wouldnt do any harm. You have to make the projectile, the knife or needle, spin. This make bigger force on impact and will commit more damage to the target. (If that is the purpose). So usually you need to hold the throwing object in the tip, and estimate how many time it need to spin before hitting the target. Within 3 meters one spin is optimal. Cant show you here, but with some practice its possible to make a knife spinning and even penetrate a target at great distance. I used to throw knives up to ten meters after years of training. That technic shown here is fun but isnt effective in real use.
@jetb17315 жыл бұрын
Nothing is "wrong" here. 1.Its a well described no spin technique. 2. Nobody is going to war with Needles xD By the way , good entertaining video, Armin :) Greets Nil
@ArminHirmer5 жыл бұрын
as I mentioned and showed, of course one can do that. BUT i prefer instinctive. sorry when you only know one style of throwing... there are many. And spin throw is the worst of all, as you always need a fix distance to the target.
@svent10005 жыл бұрын
Martial art is to me, something that should be functional. Thats why I made a comment. Even needles can be thrown so they spin and impact will improve. And can be used from longer distance, even if its just fore fun. I wouldnt bring needles to war.
@ArminHirmer5 жыл бұрын
@@svent1000 martial arts, me too. thats why instinctive, as the enemy is never at the same distance - or I am moving while throwing, hard to make this happen with fixed spin throw
@svent10005 жыл бұрын
No, I dont need a fixed distance to the target. I estimate it, change grip after distance and throw. And I know the technic you use here, but its not a effective metod if the purpose is to make the throw powerful. From a distance between 1 meter and 10meter, I will allways get the knife to penetrate and stick in target. That said, I need to know my projectile so every different throw object need some pratice. Anyway, I understand its just fore fun. Its only fore fun fore me to, so fare in life. And off cause, throwing your knife in combat, isnt the smartest thing to do, if you dont have more than one. By knowing many ways of throwing a knife, and this will count fore needles to, I know whats most effective. It just take much practice. But so do shooting a bow, throwing a atlatl, spear etc. And practice is allways fun.
