Great video. I wish my results were as good as yours. I used this product on two vehicles that I own. I applied this product with the exact same foam cannon and then thoroughly rinsed both vehicles with my pressure washer as per the instructions on the container. After the final rinse, I noticed how well the water beaded on the vehicle surfaces and was quite impressed on the beading properties. I had to quickly take care of a personal matter and was unable to hand dry the vehicles. When I returned, both vehicles were heavily covered in what appeared to be water spots. So I re-washed both vehicles and hand dried them, but the water spots remained from the first wash. After trying several different auto care products to remove the spots, I found only polishing compound would remove the spots from the vehicle painted surfaces, heavy duty trim cleaner for all the plastic surfaces and glass polishing compound for the windows. I spent two days cleaning and detailing both vehicles to remove all the water spots and re-polish all the surfaces. My only conclusion is that the properties of this particular ArmorAll ceramic car wash, also encapsulated the water beads and water spots left during the drying process. I'm hesitant to use this product again because of this issue, unless I can quickly hand dry the vehicle before spotting can occur. I would like to see ArmorAll change the chemistry of the product to resolve this issue or change the usage instructions to include that the vehicle must be hand dried immediately after the final rinse, otherwise heavy water spotting will occur.

I had the exact same experience. I use a deionizing filter on my water and an electric leaf-blower to do 90% of the drying. I usually only need a quick wipe to get any remaining damp spots, however this stuff left tiny little spots all over my car and I had to go over the whole thing again to get them off. I do not recommend.

I got some of this and tried it this weekend. On the one hand, it does as he says. Hydrophobic action is impressive. Foams nicely out of a foam cannon. But there is a big "but...." I use a leaf blower to blow dry my cars about 95% dry and microfiber the rest. I found this stuff left behind tiny little spots anyplace you did not quadruple rinse. I wouldn't quite call them water spots, as they are not hard water deposits, but little spots of the car wash itself. Of course as a "wash and wax" it has to leave behind deposits to do it's job, and that's pretty common with wash-n-wax, but usually a quick wipe with microfiber is ally need to get rid of them. However with this I found the spots quite difficult to remove. A little elbow grease with a slightly damp microfiber worked, but it was a PITA. You may have better luck with a normal towel dry, or leave your wash and wax two separate events.
@hootie1916 ай бұрын
i blow the heavy water off then use a clean, dedicated drying microfiber towel. you want some water to be left behind after blowing to act as a lubricant. i think a towel drying acts as a buffing . the paint seems to have more shine than just blowing .

Oh yeah, and the leaf blower dry off - wonderful. By the way that is not a microfibre cloth, it’s a microfibre towel - where did you get it?

Can you make a video showcasing your wash equipment? Specifically, I'd like to learn what you use for the water power sprayer as I'd like to do this as well.

Then what's the biggest difference between a ceramic wash and regular ceramic coating that takes 6-8 hours?
@9NailzGarage2 жыл бұрын
Based of my knowledge and experience with both products, it seems that there’s a lot more product actually being applied with the traditional method. Depending on which product you use it’ll probably last much longer than just the wash.

I haven't washed my jeep in almost 2 years... (It rains every afternoon here in Hawaii) It's a mess but you inspired me to wash her today just because of the leaf blower! Haha

You should have washed half the hood with your usual product to compare. The improvement in beading May have been just from removing any film that was removed by soap since there was wax protection there.

This stuff is really great! I wash my cars by hand then I just use a squeegee. I was impressed that I got no water spots like I did with other products. I agree the cars looked like they were just waxed.

They really did make a great product, I figured I’d give it a shot! So far they’ve got chemical guys and meguiars beat, I’ll be trying Adam’s graphene and griots ceramic soon

I did the same thing. Scoffed at the thought of armor all being good. But this was way better than expected. Although I hate how obsessed the industry is with water beading. Sheeting is better and most of all UV protection trumps them both

@@davidmorales7371 I think influence came from ceramic protection growing in popularity, heck even Turtle wax stepped up pronto before Armorall but one product I like to see in action is the ceramic coating spray from NuFinish too, that’ll be a fun tester considering it’s like $15 but we’ll see

The Last Coat products I use are no joke. Their shampoo has a detox and a ceramic coating in it. It looks super good by itself. If you then use their ceramic spray TLC2 after the finish goes to a second level. Then look at it after 48 hours. Their spray looks like glass on my Honda Accord 2.0T touring car metallic grey.

In my local area, there is a tunnel car wash that does either basic or best car wash. The best car wash is $11 and it provides the same effect as seen here. Not sure why I would save $4 extra buck to do all this work myself.

Nice video, and the product seems decent. Question: how did the soap work on the bugs on the front end? Did you need to use extra effort, or did the soap sort of melt them off? Thanks in advance for your response.

I'll be interested to see how that is holding up in a month or two. I use a spray-on nano-polymer and it works great, but loses most of its water repellency after a month.

Good video, that stuff does look impressive I wonder how long the coating lasts, probably between washes at least for most people I imagine? Leaf blower is the way to go for sure. Fast and gets the water out of the crevices will normally drip out from the wind and leave water spots. Meguiars water magnet towels are great for giving it a quick once over after.

@9NailzGarage3 жыл бұрын
I’d have to to yes Armor All Ceramic is definitely my favorite car wash, it’s just really impressive how well it works. I’ve used meguiars ceramic detail spray and it works pretty good, however my favorite detail spray is Rainex, it’s the easiest to use and it seems to provide the best protection. I use this soap on my truck and my wife's vehicle. Funny story, we traded in her escape yesterday and I had used this soap on the car before we got to the dealership. The guy went out to look at it and came back in and asked me If I had waxed it because it looked good. I told him no that I really don't wax but I use that ceramic wash and they were impressed.
