Take away the players ability to infinitely retry after dying and most would act exactly like he would, prime example of the average person in a gun fight. Other lynx are either crazy or very confident in their skills/next to keep them alive.

And then the dude came out with positive urine test, end up boasting to his whole office bros while having gigachad theme playing in the background that he is going independent go put a finger on his manager and took a loan to buy a used hogire while that either he got for cheap or got rip off thus forcing him to become a wannabe John Wick to get contracts pay off his loan.

@@armoredcorelore i'd argue not, if the simulator exist or at least mission briefing of the armsfort exist planning a build solution to destroying something at least let you see at the very least its doable. If thats the case i'd take the job. Now NEXT vs NEXT however is something else, risky but manageable practicing the best in your own anti NEXT build is probably the best bet along with getting simulator data somehow before the fight. And you got Kasumi to guide you thru if thats not enought if the player assume us in position of strayed.

He actually sounds alot better in the Japanese version. hes meant to be a comic relief sort of person as opposed that in the english version they made him look and sound obnoxious and annoying. but in the japanese version, he's actually trying to be your friend, but tones his dialogs to be more comical than he is serious.

To be honest I don't find him super obnoxious or annoying and I play the english version, I honestly usually take him just because I think he's a goofy wimp, and I adore that.

Honestly, I liked Dan as a character, found the guy adorable with how "normal" he is. I mean think about...the world in FA is royally fucked. It's clear he could get a place on the cradles and ateast being lynx afforded him some protection in the form of Collared. He feels like that one cowardly anime character you see all the time but finally understands or musters enough bravery to not be selfish for once. But I find it perfectly normal for him to act cowardly considering he's a sub par lynx. Imagine you're rank 28 and YOU get hired to destroy a weapon literally known for destroying entire colonies with a highly radioactive particle...even a seasoned soldier would have trouble keeping their nerve... especially when the bastards can now FLOAT AND FLY. But yeah, I'm glad Dan exists, adds more sense of realism to the game with the characters

Ya’ll can criticize him as much as you want, but in a world as bad as AC, the fact that he’s alive while more then half the Lynx died off shows that he has a right to be afraid. He’s really relatable, I feel like most of us would act like him in his position.

Bro really end the Red Rum + Starka mission with 00005 on the table. I often see Dan Moro as Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter, he is such a joke character that can bait people into thinking a 15% cut for a consort is great deal but only for him to get banished to the shadow realm after at least 6 solid rounds from the weakest Machinegun. The fact he share the same name as Dan Hibiki just reinforce the fact you shouldn't take him seriously. Let's take a look Mrs. Theresia and Killdozer. My theory for why he is Rank 28 instead of 29 or 30 is simply because fluke (against Theresia) and the other is just batshit insane (against Killdozer), his confidence also reflect Hustler Two with his AC Eight-Ball (which I believe the third lowest Rank in AC2, including the player). Theresia is much more well equipped than Dan, the same as Light Seeker is more equipped than Hustler Two. Then lastly his cowardly nature, was it justified? This is a war, he is just a pawn for something greater among other more specialized Lynx, he is just a man who witness the true horror of war... so of course it is justified. We have Roadie who possibly have seen the war more than anyone else, we have Totient who have nothing to lose as he poisoned by Kojima Radiation, Otsdarva/Thermidor for having best performance in battle start to think he's invincible, and many other Lynx. War doesn't care about you, war only see you as a tool... as a pawn... as a disposable thing. Thank you for coming to my overanalyzing character TED-Talk, see you next video.

He isn't the best lynx by a long shot and his attitude will keep him from achieving much compared to those who throw themselves at enemies with everything they got, but it will also keep him alive longer than most who do. Naming his AC after a comic book hero says a lot about him, but he might stick around for long enough to grow into one.

You know i would have liked to see what happened to many of these lynx. Crossing finger in AC6 we get some more personal time with other Lynx/Ravens.

Yeah, that'd be amazing. Maybe they could bring back the messaging system from the PS2 era. That was a nice way to get some news and a bit of interaction with other pilots. The whole wingman system is also great, but trying to get the most out of a character by replaying all the missions where they are available seems quite the task. Another reason why I am glad these videos exist. There's a lot of things I would have missed otherwise.

In other ways is it also the folly of trying to be at the hero. An old comic book hero is his symbol, odds are that anything that hero represented is totally gone. Corporations now rule, and the nations of the world and Earth have been left behind. I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason he fights for GA is because it reminds him most of NA. His craft also is far more defensive than most. Radar, flares, and the only saber that looks like a shield. His suit is hardly made for fighting. I definitely very rarely is ever sacrificed 2 weapon slots for defense, and if I did I would have a much bigger guns to make up for it. The weapon choices also keep his suit light weight. Good for surviving, and not so good for fighting. Though in the end what does he really have to prove? As soon as you hire him, whether he runs or not, you'll have to pay him. After that what more can you ask? What is there to really die for? I would forgive him his failings as there is hardly anything to be truly proud of in what we do especially in Destruction end.

I feel that his rank in the arena is political, just as many of the other pilots ranks are. White Glint being the perfect example, as we all know his skill puts him higher. Just in this case it is the opposite, he is liked more so is given a higher rank. He really does fall into what the corporations what all pilots to be, easily controlled and cheap to get rid of.

I look at celebrity ash as a lesson about pursuing a dangerous career; it's something to be proud of but if you are not ready to make the necessary sacrifices in order to better yourself in that field, you'll be a failure. It's not too different on how I've seen people when I was in the Army really. Granted I've never seen combat but I did have to do riot control a few times. There were a few soldiers petrified when they saw the riot mob coming our way but we had to face the music. A little bit of a tangent but its something I've experienced similarly like with Celebrity Ash
