Metal Allegiance is another great project from this MONSTER voice of Metal, wish he had more exposure as a solo singer. There were some gaps in Anthrax around the 90s and he even did the 93 demo of If You Were God, with Ellefson, which was a good chance to start touring as a side project. Also when he did songs with Chuck Billy, the UFO ones or Ace's High with Alissa with M.A. , I went BALLISTIC !!!

I can't believe neither one of you asked him what his idea is when he said "I have an idea, I haven't told anyone yet". I feel like he was really opening the door there and you guys got stuck on your idea of Category 7 doing it. He clearly wants to do the Anthrax revue band separately. I'd love to hear him work with Paul Crook again. I thought he was great in Anthrax and I always felt it was odd they didn't make him an official member. Overall a very good interview with great perspective on the new music and lyrical themes. Now I need an Electric Spaghetti t-shirt!

With Paul, they weren’t going to cut him in as an equal on all the old stuff, and they weren’t really making that much money with the 2 disastrous Stomp and Vol 8 records. Those records are ok, but the band was trying to find their sound and the label went out of business, so what they could offer Paul, he was able to make more just working at his studio.

@@sarcophage I think you're talking about something different. He was with them for a while, he played all the shows, worked on the albums, they took pictures as a 4 piece as if he didn't exist. They don't have to make him a partner to acknowledge him as a member of the band. Look at the lead guitarist they have now, do you think he's an equal member? No, but they don't tell him to stand in the corner when they're taking pictures or forget his name when they're doing interviews. John has already talked about working with Paul when he does the Anthrax songs live. I hope it happens.

I WISH BUSH WOULDVE BEEN MORE OPEN TO A 2 SINGER ANTHRAX BACK IN THE DAY WHEN IT WAS 1ST ON THE TABLE BUT HE DECLINED AT THE TIME BUT OBVIOUSLY WERE ALL UP AGAINST THE PERSISTENCE OF TIME AND I THINK BUSH N THE LAST FEW YEARS BECAME MORE OPEN TO THE IDEA. MAYBE ANTHRAX COULD DO WHAT GNR DID WITH USE YOUR ILLUSION 1 AND 2 ABD RELEASE 2 ALBUMS 6 MONTHS APART FROM EACHOTHER , 1 WITH BUSH ON VOCALS AND 1 WITH BELLADONA ON VOCALS. THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING....
