I'm a newer player and got the Munchin as my first tier VII premium. Heaven help me I (currently) suck at this game, but I love light cruiser gameplay, even though I'm too impatient after loitering around mid-rear islands for five minutes farming 40k damage-ish, then get blapped after I go straight from undetected to Priority Target - 5! LOL As a Brit, no Belfast is sadge! (Belfast '43 looks worse in literally every way at a higher tier) Smol fan, BTW! =P /jk

No way, video for my FAVORITE tier 7 ? crazy never knew all the details about the ships like you highlight in this vid. I think blyskawica is really good if you know that shes a strong gunboat. Good to see opinions on some of the ships that suprised me. big fan!

Sad story: I got Flint as my first steel ship... couple months before IFHE rework. 10k steel wasted. Something to add to this excellent overview: 1) Hood has improved pen angles like DoY, which makes her pretty scary even for higher tiers 2) Florida has crazy good pen, even at max range. Not unusual to citadel BBs at max range 3) Sims is the second fastest American DD after Somers and I think she is the most manoeuvrable ship in the game between rudder and turning radius In the "removed premiums" category there are some ships that you CANNOT obtain from Santa crates anymore, like Giulio Cesare, Kamikaze sisters, Gremyaschy and Imperator Nikolai. Are you going to talk about them as well? That would be neat

I agree with you on the Sims. It's by far my favorite dd, and the one I have the most success in, even uptiered, and I have no idea why. You at least have a choice between fast yolo torps and slow long range torps for zoning. I don't know what it is about it but I just play it so well and I am not that great with dds for the most part. ./edit always take defAA so you don't get carrier games with it :)

You are wrong Malta! Indianapolis is the best T7 in the game! How dare you call it awful when I scored top on the winning team in a match with you in it! Jk lol, it isn't flexible and doesn't deserve a good review. The Indianapolis was a treaty cruiser built before the USN figured out they could armor their cruisers more without violating the tonnage limitations imposed by the Washington Naval Treaty. The armor scheme makes it feel like a tier 5 cruiser in terms of tanking except it is less maneuverable and it can be matched against T9 BBs. The armor buffs to Pensacola, a ship with a reputation for exploding and is a tier lower now, makes Indianapolis envious. It requires an extremely careful play style and a high level of map awareness watching what the enemy BBs are doing since it reacts violently to battleship caliber shells. As for my first premium T7, it was the Blyskawica. I was a newer player at the time and didn't understand game mechanics well or follow online resources for WoWS at the time, but I did eventually figure out it could stealth fire and abused it before WG changed the gun bloom mechanics. It was a good change to remove stealth firing, but since the Blysk was balanced around this old mechanic, I would've liked to have seen a concealment buff to it to around 6.5 or so at least so that it doesn't get outspotted by the likes of Vauquelin today. Thanks for the upload again Malta!

Also, the Blysk uptiers terribly with that 6.8KM concealment since T8s have access to the concealment mod. Just look at the Cossacks 5.5Km conceal. This is a problem for most T7 DDs but Blysk struggles harder than most of the other T7s when it is already outspotted by most of them within its tier.
