I like your tours but you really need to watch a documentary on Phillip Guston

I absolutely love the work of Phillip Guston. I prefer his earlier abstract work. This work being show is great, as it actually appears abstract in much of the work. That said, I hate that he used cartoon as a means to say what he had to say. I don't think he needed to do that. To me, using cartoon weakens the work. I know many do it and it's accepted today by current followers, but I stand my ground. The van Gogh paintings are much better than other such pieces he has done. More current pieces are much looser and happen chance with little control. Thanks Mare
