I was impatient and went with a FFB Dagger. It’s a great board but seems a bit fragile compared to Armstrong’s bomber construction.

@@robadair yeah nice! They look great and I like their design concept. I have only ridden a couple FB prone boards so can’t say too much about their construction, but they felt very light but maybe a little brittle. It’s all a trade off I guess. I’m sure you’re getting some good runs in on the Dagger though!

Hi Oskar, great review on the board. I'm looking to use this board as a Light wind board, I've been using a MA 1225 on 75lts FG board, what board size would be for that use?
@OskarJohansson1 Жыл бұрын
Hi mate! I think it depends how much you weigh. Most guys use these both for DW and light wind winging and settle around 30% over their weight (kg) in litres. So for a 100kg guy you would want about 130L. This is more of an estimate for DW though. If you are only using for winging you could go smaller.

Nicccccce🤙🤙🤙 i love your vidéos small question Oscar.. Im 92 kg and supfoiling kalama board 6.6 132 l.. Practincing for 5 years but in French mediteranean. What would be the good size and volume for me? Does ma 1220 could work with it for Downing ? Thanks 🤙🤙🤙
@OskarJohansson1 Жыл бұрын
Hey mate, stoked to hear you are liking the videos. At your weight I would say even the new 1475 coming out soon for Downwinding. But if you are just SUP foiling and not for DW then you could easily go for the 1225 as it will surf easier and turn really nice.

@@OskarJohansson1 thanks a lot for your answer 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙 sorry last question, what would be the good size for this downwind board for my 92 kg? I d like to use it as for downwinding as supfoiling😇 Thanks mate and thanks for all your vidéos 💪💪💪

@@GAUI500X Anytime mate! Thats a tricky one, if you are a strong SUP paddler then I would go for the 121L, but otherwise to make your life a lot easier I would go for the 135L. If you want to SUP foil as well then the 121L might be to go, but it will make DW a little trickier.

Looks amazing, what are the dimensions and volume. Also foil setup please looks like the ha 1125.

This is the 6'3" x 18 3/4 at 85L. And I am riding the HA1125 with the 795 performance mast, 60 fuse, and HA195 tail and red shim. I rode this setup to actually go a little slower, normally I would ride the HA925.

Thanks for the info I’m a Ha 925 junkie for wing and prone so can’t wait to try and see if I can get it going on a paddle up as it has a high ish stall speed. Will have to get a few new skills under my belt. You make it look way to easy,amazing.

Hey Oskar really enjoying the videos! What would be your recommendation for my first downwind gear? I have a fair bit of experience winging and kite foiling but haven’t done much on the sup. Thanks for your help!!
@OskarJohansson1 Жыл бұрын
Hi mate, in general you want to start with board. Go for something that is at least 30% more than your weight (kg) in litres. Also longer and narrower is much easier to paddle up. Then you want a foil with a really low stall speed for learning, but you will ultimately progress down onto HA foils. A lot of guys have been having success on the APF foils or the larger MA foils.

Hi , have some experience in pump foil, but total newbie for sup foil and downwind foil. Would like to do both of it, what size should I pick? 100L? I’m 71kg Ps Your video is very good 🎉, would like to have some advice from you
@OskarJohansson1 Жыл бұрын
Hey mate! Yeah I think you would want to do go for the larger 107L for learning. It sounds like a big board, but when you’re learning volume is your friend. Even the very good SUP downwind guys are riding bigger boards these days as it just makes it so much easier to paddle up on foil. Also with these boards the boxes are much further forward so it means the swing weight is still minimal and doesn’t feel that bad to pump even though they sound very long.

hi Oscar sorry my bad inglês,..... i have i quesstion, when you make the world record pump on prone for 2;46 minutes what mast you are used ?? 79,5 our 85 mast????
@OskarJohansson1 Жыл бұрын
No worries, you english seems good! I used the 85, but now with the 79.5 I would use it if I did it again. It is stiffer which gives me more power transfer into the foil during the pump, but it is also quicker and more efficient.
