First of all, Garryowen in Glory and Hooah, Hooah! Please keep in heart amd mind the legacy you are expected to uphold as a Cavalry Soldier. I, personally, have had the honor of knowning a couple of the finest female Troops to have worn a spur. Their familiar faces live in me still. Good luck.

Warms my heart to see the cav still alive with new fodder. It’s not easy but it’s also stupid easy. Just takes some willpower. I tell my wife all the time she would have been an excellent scout.

I agree with Ricky shines I’m currently a 19D. Get your legs ready you’ll do a lot of walking with weight on your back, I know they always talk about brotherhood in the Army, but it’s very different in the cav, very close knit in the cav world. You’ll work in small teams a lot. Just suck it up through OSUT and you’ll be straight. Also be weary of gathering exhaust samples 🤣🤣🤣

Its unit specific. (talking field training) my unit did not allow cots. It was in the dirt or on your truck. Deployed: tents with cots or barracks.
