1:04:30 @Cory Re: RPG Story June 19, 2003. I got chills listening to your story this morning. I’m pretty sure you’re talking about the route to LSA Dogwood home of the “28th CSH”. I was a Marine nearby and sometime in late June 2003 my LAR platoon was tasked to respond to an ambulance getting hit by an RPG. We arrived pretty soon after the attack, Im fairly certain we picked up part of the HMMWV ambulance door off the ground near the road. My platoon spent the following 2 weeks working with a Marine Rifle Company trying to lure, find and kill those RPG teams. RIP Paul

Love this channel. The only thing that gets out to civilians is SF super high speed stuff that ends up causing a bunch of drama. These are the real stories of real people who served that actually make me feel connected to my service .

This channel is such a hidden gem. I’ve heard the same stories from different people in a different KZbin channel, but from their perspective. The fact that all the details are the same, shows just how real these intense stories are. Crazy to hear different perspectives of the same battles.

The same thing happened to me with 18 years in, as far as being forced out. The thing with me is I was up for a direct commission, but my acting CDR, a CW3 jealous old walking warrant hated me, and wouldn’t let me take a PT test, Flagged me making me unable to re-enlist, then put a RE-2 on my DD-214 making it impossible to re-enlist during the 2013 draw down. It took FIVE years for the Army Board of Corrections to fix my situation, but I lost years of promotions and time in service. I’ve still got to get back in and knock out two years, so I think this January is best time as any. Army Board of Corrections of Military Records decided I had been erroneously discharged before you assume I was a shitbag.

Me too, brother. I'm 53 and my Dad is 84 and I wouldn't try him. Been in more fights than I care to remember wins and losses and I still (more out of respect, now) wouldn't square up to Ol' Pop.
