Salutes range from different cadet forces Because this is CCF, Let it slide a bit, it's a school environment they are in and they dont want to seem like a show off. If they were Sea Cadets let them off, they have method of saluting Army and Air have the 2 3 up 2 3 down Idk about Marines.

I used to thoroughly enjoy drill even if it was only to make teranwork mor tighter and the sense of achievement we got from that.!!!!
