I DONT OWN THIS AND STUFF. The Deleo Bros, Ray Luzier, and Richard Patrick perform an intimate number off of the Army of Anyone CD in a Stripped special.

My favorite song off the album. That solo at the end, the note choice and phrasing are perfect.

No way!!!! I've been trying to find this set forever! Truly underrated band.

The growl in Richard’s voice is like that moment a circular saw hits wood. It just screams with a beautifully perfect aggression.

Thanks for the upload. One of my favorite albums of all time so it's a treat to hear these tracks stripped down.

All of these performances (acoustic and not) are better sounding than the album imo. It's truly amazing what a great band they were, but also how little attention they got. Absolutely a hidden gem.

Haven't heard this in years! Yet timeless and incredibly good. That solo in the end really is amazing. The acoustic set really stands out even better than the studio version, RP on vocals works so well!!

Great song, great album, great musician, they definitely should get together and cut another album. Too bad they didn’t get the recognition they should of gotten, awesome band.

Thanks for putting this up. This session disappeared off the web for a long time... missed it. These guys shredded.
@JohnnySportsfan12 жыл бұрын
A less marketable image could be thanked for that. I love STP and GnR, but Velvet Revolver did nothing for me. These guys made an album that I've personally classified as a classic. Regrettably under-rated musicians. One can only hope they cut another album someday.
@michaelbartholomew38663 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Velvet Revolver got all the attention, but outside of a few tracks the songs were pretty empty. AoA’s album on the whole is a much more musically competent album. The DeLeo’s are far better musicians than Slash and Duff.

hard to believe that as an MTV kid back then I would be force-fed Strokes and other kinds of trash in early 2000's but somehow this band never got air time
@JohnnySportsfan Жыл бұрын
@@FeelingShred Hard to believe that 10 years after this comment, nothing good has come from any involved with the project. Except Richard Patrick. I’ve always maintained a pretty low bar with regards to his artistic input.
@FeelingShred Жыл бұрын
I have to update myself in regards to Patrick's latest endeavours... I quite liked the STP EP with Chester... haven't heard the new album with new guy... Quite liked his performance of "Pruno", one of these rare songs in their catalogue... And apparently after a long while Liam Gallagher of Oasis fame is making a huge comeback with his voice back on track. It's looking promising, something cooking in the air...

But even then nothing compares to the thrill of one more year passing by and ask yourself "What's Scott Weiland going to surprise us with this year?" I miss that feeling

Somehow I hadn't heard of these guys until recently and I used to love STP. Richard's voice is amazing. I like this version better than the album version. Is there any way to find a copy in better quality for the audio? I can't find the original Stripped video anywhere but would have paid to download it. Stripped (Clear Channel Music Group) was apparently turned into Iheartmedia and they don't even have a contact email on their site.

Having nothing to do with Scott ( May he rest in peace, with all love and respect, I will miss every band/project and anything he might have done that we will never get to hear) I don't understand why they just gave up after one album. I understand it didn't sell very well, but I felt like they really had something going, I feel like a second album could have been amazing. I always got the impression that since the first didn't do well, it wasn't worth going on. Was always very disappointed about that. I get that things don't work like they did in the 70's, but some bands need a couple albums to really establish themselves and I feel like they really had something special. I really only liked 4 tracks off the album, but hell, I LOVED those tracks. I'm not saying they should do something by default, but I would love to hear more from them. I know Ray wont give up his gig in korn, but always liked eric better. I would love to hear more from this band, they had so much potential. I thought Talkshow was ok, but Army blew that away, would love to hear more!
