We live on the edge of Salisbury plain and often hear these monsters going out onto the plain in the mornings, that whine and rumble is an awesome sound.

Challenger 2!! I’m very proud to have had the honour of making some of the components for this magnificent piece of artillery! The Gunners Sight Mount and Tank Commander seat to name a few! I also had the pleasure of visiting the Vickers factory in Leeds 20 years ago to see them being fully assembled from start to finish then being tested. Love this video. 👍👍👍

Really wished I had some footage of my days in the 16/5th Queens Royal Lancers driven through that very spot hundreds of times in Spartan Striker and Scimitar CVRT .Tidworth Garrison late 80's mid 90's.

Assaye Barracks remember it well. Just wish they hadn't put a great big hill behind the camp lol.

Still waiting to see an armoury cross the road it would be a world's first!

Fucking hell, can you imagine the poor Lance Jack in the CQMS department that signed for the armoury keys trying to explain to the QM that the whole damn building had gone missing? 🤣

Very cool area with the road crossing and how it's an open road for public. Makes for great shots. There are giant military training areas here in Washington state but it's just so big that you can't see anything at all over the mountains but once in a while they mix with the public, I have even seen some Stryker and some other vehicles right next to the highway in the open desert, but I think it is just a matter of luck.

Yeah we're extremely lucky here in the UK to have shared spaces with military training areas, just as long as common sense and mutual respect is used! I've always wondered about how you might see some of this kind of thing in the USA. Would like to film some of it myself! Desert areas are probably best with it being open land.

These tanks look very bare, do they equip them before operations or deployments?
@CobraEmergency Жыл бұрын
Yes! Sometimes you'll see them kitted up for training and othertimes they're like this.

So let's goes though this again, you were driving down the road in your car when a tank just jumped out in front of you?
@CobraEmergency Жыл бұрын
Yes. That is how it happened!

Do you just happen to see this or you find them somehow
@CobraEmergency Жыл бұрын
There are training areas around the UK where you can see these driving about. The tank training area at Bovington even has a viewing area for people to come and watch the training. :)

@Las Vegas Emergency Response That's just a case of filming what you see when you're out. You could hang around junctions in busy cities, and you might see some things in, say, eight hours. I now prefer to go to events and see what passes, e.g. VIP events and protests. London is best for that.
