Being a drummer, I have mad respect for all drummers, but have to say I'm glad our military picked shooting and winnings wars for their thing to be really good at! Maybe Army with a slight edge.

Intel: So I have watched almost every drumline competition between the divisions of the US Armed Forces. This one has one of the fewest views. Opinion, Army almost always wins. Now most importantly, the lead quad for West Point ends up being the lead quad, potentially drum major for the US Army for the next years, potentially ending somewhere around 2015-2016. Wish him well. He is also joined during those years by another quad player, Glasses, who served basically during the same time. The final jewel and this is a bit of a stretch, but another West Point grad, the caucasian gentleman on the far end (left on screen) wearing sunglasses becomes lead quad somewhere around 2018-19. If you watched most of them, you see them change leadership. Good job fellas and thanks. Also, that amazing cadence they always run between both sides typically at the end is called "Smokestack". The Air Force has been known to be the most undisciplined branch of the armed forces. It shows! While the army displayed composure and military discipline, air force performed like regular street band without military bearing.

Army had better selections (Texas as their first). Air Force had better visuals. Tenors and Snares where clean in general, but couldve been tighter. Both cymbal lines couldve used work. Overall great vid tho

+Jimbo Metal Westpoint Military Academy (Army) are the ones in the black, Air Force Academy are the ones in digi-tiger uniforms on the right side. I plan on joining the AF, but in this video the Army cadets won. In my opinion, at least.

Dudes in black no question. That was like watching DCI take on a high school. The Tama snares however KILLED in the sound dept. The quints I'd have to give to Pearl. My beloved tonals sound swamped because no one wants to step the hell up and wear actual BASS DRUMS, and not GLORIFIED TOMS!!!!

With different branches of military there are different tactics. The Army is the ground forceful and powerful, represented by the tenors performance. the Air Force is precise and tactic, represented by the way they kept their cool with the advancement of the tenors. However, the Army was a bit dirty and sloppy compared to the Air Force. The third cadence by the Air Force got a bit sloppy or that could be sound delay. There's no way to tell a definite winner through video, I'd say its a tie because in order to tell you'd have to be there in person. Amazing performance altogether!
