I’m with Flatsie and give you TWO thumbs up for this episode. I was in raptures over your quilt hexies but began to giggle a bit when we got to buying huge pieces of furniture for rooms that aren’t yet in existence - the ladder and Carlos had to breathe - and then by the time the cushion-hoarding conversation came along, I was dying. Carlos, your face! I really like how you two are so kind to each other - and yet show a little spirit when necessary. Arne takes teasing about his acquisitions well, but can push back a bit when he needs to. You two handle everything so well. Good for you. I am an admirer. xx

When Arne says, I have an idea. In our household it’s, I’ve been thinking. (Uh oh). And when you got to the ladder and cushions, you made me laugh and cheered up an otherwise awful day. Thank you so much for this episode. I enjoyed it all.

I really like your new sweaters for the dolls. The 'bulbs' are very sweet too. I think Flatsie should be called Flatsie Patsy as her full name. Patsy is such a 50's name it would go well with her style. You both have your treasures you need to have around you. Apparently Carlos was unaware of his cushion love. haha

Your discussion about removing items of the same size for bringing something the same size or smaller is a good place to start. We have those discussions, too, with some laughs. I used to remove double the size before bringing in something smaller and it made progress. Admittedly, I am finding the practice challenging after home repairs and trying to redefine spaces and select what stays, goes, and what would be a better fit. Ultimately, everything is a responsibility regardless of size and tripping hazards are to be avoided at all cost. Best wishes in your hone and away from home journeys.

I’ve did a professional decluttering session today at my storage bay. I explained Arne’s “cleaning” method to her which she thought was creative. I have collected (*cough* “hoarded”) knitting machines. Unfortunately I can’t remake the machines into something else but I can use them to knit up all my yarn into a blanket for my bed! Hence my description of Arne’s cleaning method 😊 I also think I’ll make myself some of Arne’s knitting needle cases once I get a sewing machine set up at home. Enjoy your cushions Carlos - I love a feather down cushion too! 😀

The Ladder and The Cushions LOL too funny! Thank you for the laughs and inspiration! I loved the "hexagon composite" to wrap larger motifs: for years now I've been contemplating the idea of making something out of tons of embroidered fabrics I inherited from my mo , but they're too large for one hexagon! I can't wait to see what you make from the "hexagon composite"! Oh, perhaps a not so nice comment... the crochet little pouch motif is kinda middle-finger looking 😬 of course we all need to give the middle finger sometimes, but I didn't know if that was your intention.

I enjoyed this week's video. While I listened and watched, I finished knitting the second sock from your 6-ply sock yarn. I had been working on a sweater and a shawl and the sweater was way too big since I am loosing weight and the shawl had a mistake in the lace so I spend two days ripping out knitting and wanted something easy to knit. I closed my eyes and reached into my sock yarn stash and pulled out a skein of your sock yarn and it was the 6 ply....I also have plenty of the 4ply. I now have a pair of new socks done in a week and am happy. I liked Arne's comment: I fall asleep if I don't have anything in my fingers. That's me and I can say, I knit my way through many college classes just to stay awake. I was quite a sight back in those days, the late 1970s with my note taking book on one desk to the left, I am left handed, and my knitting work on the deck I am sitting at, knitting away and paying attention and then taking notes during the lecture. People just couldn't understand how I could do it. But my brain allowed it. I did always talk to the professor to let them know I was doing it and not being rude. A couple of them asked if I could knit them a hat, which I did, full of cables, nice and thick for winter skiing for one and running for the other.
