This program was built for seasoned bodybuilders. The blueprint works and you are wrong on this one in my opinion. All the rep ranges that you don't think works are meant to shock the muscles of people who already have intense workout routines. Based on your physique I would guess that you do CrossFit a couple times a month and maybe analyzing bodybuilding programs isn't one of your strengths
@LiftingExplained2 жыл бұрын
You can't shock the muscles, that's a myth and not actually a thing. The way to make progress, even for those that are advanced, is a mix progressive overload, periodization, and a change in exercise use during various mesocycles. The overall volume in the program is too high and completely unnecessary, again even for advanced lifters. I have a masters in exercise science and have trained hundreds of people. My training is based around athletic performance, not physique or looking jacked, but my background provides me the experience and knowledge to see if a program is done well or not. If you disagree and like the program, by all means do it, it makes no difference to me.

Jeff Nippard's fundamentals hypertrophy program is a great program for beginners and has been reviewed here with great score. I did Upper/Lower version of the program because I wanted at least 4 day of training and it was awesome. Got great results over the 2 months of the program. You can do it multiple times of course, no need to do it only once :)
@LiftingExplained3 жыл бұрын
If you're looking for an app specifically, then either Hypertrophy Coach or Eugene Teo are great choices. For specific programs, like Stefan mentioned, Jeff Nippard's Fundamentals of Hypertrophy is also great.

For two months if your diet and supplementation are up to par, then it would be fine to do. Don’t do it for longer that prescribed.
@LiftingExplained2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't do this program at all, it simply isn't designed well, and no diet or supplementation overcomes that.

i have done it in the past and followed it to the letter. I trimmed down the fat and gained good muscle. Its hardcore though, I wanted to puke many times in the beginning especially in the bb row/ db row superset. from 120kg fat I went 107kg with good muscle and slim waist. The only thing I dont like is the flys below 8 reps. you can modify it keep the flys aroun 12, 10, 8, 8 and the db pullover heavier. Other than that its a solid program and not for the faint of heart. if you take steroids its gonna be easier. For the 30 reps bench press its only with the bar, he said it that he did that for warming up in the exercise instead of stretching etc

OP on DYEL mode having the gall to criticize something he clearly doesn't seem to understand or unwilling to even test IRL
@LiftingExplained2 жыл бұрын
I've said it multiple times on the channel, I train for athletic performance, not size or physique, so my programming and the way I look will be different. I do have the background though to make these reviews and do try them out. I have a masters in exercise science and have trained hundreds of people, both athletes and general population. I know or have met countless strength coaches in the private, collegiate and pro level (including the NFL) and none of them would ever program this way and would all say the same that I did. So please tell me specifically what it is I don't understand. I don't criticize in my reviews either, and to say I have the gall to make this review is ridiculous.

@bob_troll24002 жыл бұрын
The stripping method offers very little rest, that's why the two reps work in this case. Because you follow it up with more and more reps. The entire program is based around 'shocking' the muscles, which any bodybuilder will tell you are the best workouts.

I remember hearing that arnold was associated with the product line from which this program is a part, only he disassociated himself when promissed income didnt come through. Besides, how could he not be associated; he has a highly revisionist retelling of his training methodologies in an interview with the product line company on youtube meant to create buzz. Interestingly, my pointing out arnold's inflated creative recollection with testimony from his traning partners was met with denials from multiple trolls targetted at me, as well as deletion of many of my comments ... a real dirtbag of a company. Back on point, youd think he'd have a good reason to sue for using his image and insinuating his involvement had he not signed off, but afaik that's never happened.
