It sucks because at one point in time, Colbert really was funny. Yeah, he always had a lean, but what entertainer doesn't? But his Trump era material onward has hit "It's the current year, come on!" levels. Which is so shitty because Trump theoretically should give you the most material to work with on the planet - how is this squandered? It's really sad. I can't even stand watching him anymore. I just know eventually, I'll cringe. It's like John Oliver. Term Limits now. It's not "The government getting in the way of your expression", it's another method to drain the swamp by forcing the alligators to leave. Vote with your ideals, yes, but when you hear about John McCain for instance, it's not "Ohh, he has great ideals and policy", it's "He's a veteran, a war hero, and he's been in office for years! He knows what he's doing". Term limits do NOTHING to take away your freedom to represent yourself; what they do, is ensure that people don't stagnate in office while winning on emotional appeals and campaign promises that never get fulfilled.

Yes, amazingly (for Americans who have never meet a Mexican) most Mexicans, like myself, want to end illegal migration. Based on 3 principles: 1.- Mexicans should be able to make a living in their home country without having to leave family and their culture. (The difficultly with this is born of our hyper corrupt politicians, subsided by the drug cartels, which have a vested interest in keeping the status fucking quo). 2.- Americans should not have their laws squandered or force their politicians into (more) hypocrite situations (such as this one). (While I am not as well informed in the northern side of the border. The issue here in my estimation is caused by the inflation of the internal market in the USA, meaning that in order to produce anything within the USA you have to pay an exorbitant amount of money, relative to the southern option, which causes an incentive for low skill cheap laborers to go and fill that void for the local industries). 3.- Neither Mexico should suffer from the illegal migrants who travel through Mexico to the USA, or the USA suffer from the illegals entering and staying in the USA (Be they from Mexico or otherwise). Mind you I am not entirely unsympathetic to the people who decide to migrate illegally, the situation of this individual must be pretty damn shitty for them to take that decision, which is why I would propose that we need more creative and better solutions for this issue.
@TwinAquarius4847 жыл бұрын
I remember when the immigration laws were passed in Arizona and how it was reported out here in GA. They basically compared it to Nazi Germany and Jewish persecution. What they didn't expect was surprising support for the law and a strong desire to pass a law just like it. We unfortunately haven't had anything major like that passed and we're still suffering from the effects of illegal immigration.
@GridironMasters5 жыл бұрын

Was waiting for this rant since the minute Trump pardoned Sheriff Joe. Especially considering how many individuals said that he shouldn't of been pardoned, is laughable. Okay Arizona boy I hope your happy, because I am too that this story is finally getting proper coverage and Joe getting fair treatment. Edit: Totally love the way you pointed out the fact that Sheriff Joe should have never been pardoned because this should never have happened to start with. I mean they went above and beyond to try and ruin Sheriff Joe and could only get him on a MISDEMEANOR CHARGE!!?!? over an optional check box for race on a processing form, damn he must've been really corrupt!! It's disgusting what Obama and others did to Sheriff Joe just because he did his job the way those in his county wanted him to. Sheriff Joe was dragged through the fucking swamp and came out the other end clean but if his treatment doesn't show American citizens that their Government is corrupt on so many levels and that if you were an average citizen that they went after like Joe you would have no hope. This is the main reason I want the Swamp to be drained despite not really liking Trump. The fact that anyone with a brain could see Sheriff Joe was being unfairly targeted and only received a MISDEMEANOR after that entire process screams that the real criminals are the ones that went after Sheriff Joe to start.

American Pride First part of that is too far for my taste. How the fuck do you expect someone to learn English if you won't talk to them? The second part of that is more reasonable. As a classical singer, I can't get a contract with any German opera house unless I speak German at least conversationally. It's not too unreasonable to ask the same here.
@kartikayysola7 жыл бұрын
American Pride I don't disagree with you at all, see my Germany example where they do the same thing. I just think it's unproductive to not speak to people who don't speak English. Actively refusing to do so just pushes away any attempt they might have made to learn.
@kartikayysola7 жыл бұрын
"You probably haven't been around or work with foreigners" Bitch I was raised by two of them, and they worked their asses off to be rightfully called Americans. They waited eight years to be allowed to enter, they came, became citizens in 1997 (they arrived in 1990), and have been gainfully employed ever since, not to mention raising my brother and I in the process. They're damn proud to call themselves Americans and are grateful for every opportunity that has been afforded to them. Not to mention some of the people at my day job also fit that bill and are some of the kindest, most generous and most giving people I've ever met. So I kindly request that you fuck off with your shallow generalizations. They're not true and my family has worked too fucking hard to be lumped in with people like what you describe.
@kartikayysola7 жыл бұрын
And I could fire back with how at every India Day celebration in my home state, they start with both the American AND the Indian National Anthem. Or how every Hindu temple in the country welcomes any and all who want to come in and visit, no questions asked, but it gets us nowhere here. I am not disagreeing with you on the fact that there are people who come into the country and don't give a rat's ass about what being an American means. That's not up for debate, and I've seen some of it myself from other Indians. But it sounds to me like you're not even fucking TRYING to differentiate between people who are genuine and people who are not. It's lazy and I expect better of fellow Americans. The country was built on the principle of people from all corners of the globe coming here and through a shared set of values, being able to live in harmony. My family fucking did it. Instead of assuming all foreigners to be a threat, let's ease off on the generalizations and actually listen to people. That's how you start to instill good values.

Nick Mitsialis Basically HG bought the rights to distribute Macross in the US in 1985 and they though it gave them rights to all things Macross outside Japan. They are also a real estate company, which means they have a lot of money to use on their lawsuits. In the mid-90s they basically bullied FASA with their litigative muscles to settle out of court and stop using the original Macross based mechs in Battletech. I think FASA was in the right, but they just couldn't afford an extended legal battle. Now Harmony Gold is at it again, going after Catalyst Games, PGI and Harebrained Schemes for those mechs. I think most Macross fans hate them too because they are why there haven't been much Macross outside Japan lately. Harmony Gold has been lawsuit happy on that front too. Their rights to Macross end at 2021 and they are likely to try to squeeze as much profit from them as they can.

I dunno what was better, being set straight on the details of this case, which I was unwittingly duped into being on the other side of the fence on, or the 20 minutes of glorious Razorfist rage in which it was presented to me.

Don't have the time to check through what citations you have provided right now. Coming in to this situation, I most certainly had a burning hatred for Arpaio. After seeing you speak about this in other videos and places, I did some digging and saw that you were correct as far as I could tell. I still have issues with Arpaio that I do not see going away, but this new video and deeper pool of information will hopefully showcase the miscarriage of justice that has seemingly taken place in regards to this situation. The Obama administration was and quite frankly still is an incredible threat to the American people and nation. I don't think I will ever call myself a Trump supporter outright, but looking at the sides, and it's certainly not only the gaggle of idiots on the Left, that oppose him along with the utterly illogical and infantile reactions his election win has provoked, I'm baffled as to how anyone cannot see the danger that his opposition presents.
