Arrested for getting my knee down? No, JK... I can't get my knee down...LOL

This is the 1st video in my video series of me chasing "side grip" confidence and working on getting my knee down. As of the making of this video, I have only ever gotten my knee down twice, because it has never been important to me. My body position has always been my priority and I just figured that touching down with my knee would eventually happen as my speed picked up. Well, what I am finding is that, even though I ride in A group, my overall pace (lap times) is being slowed by my lack of confidence in edge grip, so I need to fix this.

My big fear was also the grip of the tires while leaning over. My body position was good, I just didn’t trust the tires. I also did parking lot drills to help with muscle memory and that did improve my skill level. What helped me break that fear of the tires was while at the Summit Point Main WV track I had the opportunity to follow an Evolve GT coach on the track after a brief shower and while the track was still wet. He set the pace and I followed. Even in those conditions I didn’t lose any traction in the turns. Suddenly I realized that if they perform that well while it’s wet they must be even better when inflated to the recommended pressure for the track. I have Michelin tires on my R1 and have been impressed by there performance ever since in both wet and dry conditions.
