It’s a beautiful site, we visited this time last year. Unfortunately I ended up breaking my femur during the stay and ended up in hospital for a week. The staff (Connor in particular) were absolutely fantastic in helping us storing the van and making arrangements to get it back to Wigan a few weeks later. Will hopefully get back for a less eventful visit soon!

Hi Bob, jenny & poppy, wow such a lovely site. It was nice of Denise to give you some help. The bird lakes look amazing, I could sit & watch them all day. Has poppy got a castle ticket, as she seems very excited to go to one. When I went to Ireland, we were in Dublin, so beautiful there too, I just love Ireland. I hope you all have a lovely time. Lots of love, Linda xx ❤

Lovely video. Im from Belfast. I really enjoyed this. Thanks for taking the time to record it. How long is the walks at the site itself? I have a German Shepherd that needs plenty of exercise but he's not the friendliest of guys to bring him to the off lead area you mentioned. Thanks in advance for answering.
@BobEarnshawMoHo Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, we didn't go to the off lead area, which was through the static caravan area. the walk around the wetland area is probably just 10 minutes or so

Bob, you failed to listen to so many of us as to how to set off, inN.Ireland. At least you done you’re own thing. When you arrived in Larne, you could only have done the north coast, worked your way from there and done everything else you wanted. Instead, you went for the dark hedges. Thinking that , that is more popular??? I think there was quite a few of us living here that gave you our understanding of our area but, you just done your thing. Embrace the locals, at least…😉
@jimmyconnolly34612 жыл бұрын
I loved you ordered a cheesy beano!!! My favourite ❤️😂👍😊
@BobEarnshawMoHo2 жыл бұрын
We went that way as it was recommended by a viewer and to be honest I don't like to do hours and hours of driving on narrow roads. I personally wanted to the dark hedges as I'm a fan of Game of Thrones. Certainly never seeked to be popularist! We'd be in a self build van, wild camping and 40 years younger if we did. Yes, we listen to viewers, but we do want we want and I record that.

Great to see you getting out on the bike Bob. I hope it will inspire others to leave the car and use a bike. I’m not sure that you should be showing video evidence of your poor cycling positions and I dread to think some watching may believe you are riding correctly. You are demonstrating what many of us were taught in cycling proficiency 50 or more years ago. Times have changed and the government now promotes Bikeability riding in the gutter is no longer acceptable. See Highway Code rules 67 &72 and seriously consider searching for Bikeabilty for adults course in your locality if you want to venture further on the road safely. You deleted my last comments along these same lines which is your prerogative. As long as you show footage of poor riding I as a cyclist will keep on challenging it. The choice is yours. Enjoy NI has the flag season finished? You’ve not shown it thankfully.

One of the great things about doing KZbin is there's always some expert to tell me how to do something. Sorry, but I'm not doing a "how to cycle" video or channel, I'm a motorhome owner riding a bike for the first time in some while. Thank you for your expert advice. I've read the highway code and just in case anyone else has not, here it is, Rule 72 : Road positioning. When riding on the roads, there are two basic road positions you should adopt, depending on the situation. 1) Ride in the centre of your lane, to make yourself as clearly visible as possible, in the following situations: - on quiet roads or streets - if a faster vehicle comes up behind you, move to the left to enable them to overtake, if you can do so safely - in slower-moving traffic - when the traffic around you starts to flow more freely, move over to the left if you can do so safely so that faster vehicles behind you can overtake - at the approach to junctions or road narrowings where it would be unsafe for drivers to overtake you 2) When riding on busy roads, with vehicles moving faster than you, allow them to overtake where it is safe to do so whilst keeping at least 0.5 metres away, and further where it is safer, from the kerb edge. Remember that traffic on most dual carriageways moves quickly. Take extra care crossing slip roads.
