This is the 1st episode of 3 in the "Pro-Tip" series. In this one i show you how i shim the ARRMA 1/8th scale and Senton 6s Differential internal, and changing the stock internal diff-pin to drill-steel one.
---------------------------------------------------------
This mod is done by me, and is a tip for some of you that have some issues with the Diff-pin or striped internal gear. I will not be responsibility for any damage.

I picked up a Senton recently (awesome truck) and have bashed it about 10 times now. Just today I went ahead and pulled out the center diff and replaced its fluid with (stock weight 10k) diff silicone since I had a pretty poor pinion/spur mesh. How often should I replace the front/center/rear diff oils? Should I be replacing the front/rear diff oil soon or am I already past due? Replacing the center silicone was relatively easy for a noob and this vid definitely makes it look easy for the front too, which is great. Thanks for the vids I really appreciate the info! :D

thank you mate. you can easy change the front and rear now. hmmm i have no specific scheme i change after...but say every 30-40? i changed mine around 20 i think. its allways nice to have fresh oil in the diffs

Is going to thinner in the rear differential the proper tactic To minimize breakage? I see people doing 80 K in the rear 200-500 K in the center and 80 K in the front. But I’ve noticed that you run a much thinner diff fluid in the rear. Does the thinner the fluid in the rear help prevent damage? I don’t know why but for whatever reason I always thought that the thicker the diff fluid the more protection you’re giving to to prevent/minimize breakages. But I’m starting to think I’m wrong. Can you clarify

Tp-Parts Rc-Xtreme, I appreciate your quality videos! This looks like the center diff here, do you still use 2 of the 3.5x12x0.15 washers on 1 side of the cross shaft pin? You don't show an extra washer in this video but you do use an extra washer in your front/rear diff video. Just curious if the center diff doesn't need an extra washer on 1 side or if you don't show it since this is an older video compared to the front/rear diff shim video?

Tp-Part Rc-Xtreme, what is opinion diff oil setup for arrma nero big rock? is it same with Kraton 7k rear 100k mid and 60k front?
@TpPartsRcXtreme
@TpPartsRcXtreme 7 жыл бұрын
Since the Nero series do not have sealed diffs it will be hatd. Need to use grease or they will leak ( due to the lock mechanism ). I havr sealed the diffs in my first Nero, and it seems to work good so far

MrDavide1976 hi, SCT is more of a standard today ,WT from US. K stands for 1000. so 5k meaning 5000

i was wondering why would you downgrade from 2.25mm pin to 2.20mm pin?
@TpPartsRcXtreme
@TpPartsRcXtreme 9 жыл бұрын
the 2.30 fits perfect in the outdrive, but the sungear wont go over the pin...the 2.25 was not in stock so i took the 2.20 drill..and it have the same fitment in the outdrive. works like a charm, over 30 , 6s packs hardcore bash and it looking like NIB ☺

@tbrazin It's a bashing setup, not a track setup. Bashers like thicker diff oil, especially in the center, as it makes the car wheelie and have loads of power. Also it makes the front tires balloon less, which can be a real problem on 6S LiPo
