You'd be surprised how this common breakage can be fixed. Worked great for me!

Noticed tonight the ESC fan on my Typhon 3S wasn't spinning, took off the fan and found out it wasn't properly seated on the shaft, this video sure helped me out, thanks!
@EastTactics3 жыл бұрын
Awesome. I myself found however that Once it becomes unseated… it tends to do it again. So you may end up needing to pick up a new fan or… I do have a video regarding upgrading to tank high powered fans if you want to check that out. I have a playlist in regards to do it yourself fans.

Was looking to see if my esc was going out do to the motor fan stopped bit when I turns it back on it worked and noticed that the esc fan was slowly starting and stopping. Noticed when I tapped it it would spin then stop.. I'm glad I found your video. Would have never thought about that. Funny how you can find a video of a problem you're having and a fix a year after the vid came out. Cant thank you in advance, so thanking you after the fact. 👍🤙🤜🤛

I have a Big rock with the 3s esc w/25mm fan i took your esc cap mod to another level. I clipped everything at heatsink level(sides and rear) and removed it, even the thin slots. I left the front intact due to that bring a sort of Cap brace. but everything else is removed to improve airflow. For those interested, it might effect the warranty, so beware, my BR is over a year old so not worried about the warranty

Awesome Bro , You just save me $30 for a stock K8s motor fan. Here a tip for you. get a piece grey scotch brite scuffing pad cut to size , peel it apart so its not to thick and place on top of fan before you replace fan cover, this aids to filter out smaller bits n pieces from breaking the blades but still enables good air flow. Just subbed you too. Cheers. D

The best mod I have is to take the 35mm fan case & motor, get a 30mm fan & put the 30mm blades in the 35mm fan. They flex less & won't break. The Max6 takes the same fan, and after breaking plenty of them. This is the one mod that I found works.
@Crewchief2274 жыл бұрын
Oh and once the shaft goes its done. I do know how to glue blades on and they last. Trick is more surface area.😉

Crewchief 227, I’m curious to see how long it will last with that tiny mod I added to it. Guess we’ll find out. As mentioned I’ve got a newer set up on its way so at the very least hopefully it lasts a few bashes. Ha ha

Here today because I was at a skate park and now my fan is super noisy, but still spinning so far. Not a bad idea, but could probably just use hot glue or a booger or something to fill the gap instead of bothering with the dremel.
@EastTactics4 жыл бұрын
Lol. Do you want something hard with a smooth surface to allow for spinning. LOL but then again a booger might work great.
@frankposterello16284 жыл бұрын
@@EastTactics Oh you're right, I was visualizing the assembly wrong - that bit rotates. Dremel it is then!

Well… If you watch more of my videos, you’ll Noticed that I have since gotten a new fan, in fact I upgraded to a high-end cooling system called NTF fans. While they are amazing and they cool the system tenfold better. My next mission was to determine the quality or bash resistance of these new fans. Other videos talk about their quality and durability. My ultimate finding is that bashing hard on concrete simply break electronics. I now have a new mission or objective to find outside of the box ways to further upgrade the platform providing better protection to our electronics. Upcoming videos we’ll talk more about this. Thanks for watching.
