Arrma Infraction & FSR Model DT Baseline Speed Run.
Hello everyone, and welcome back. This video is about 20min long, I apologies for it being this long but I thought it would be best to see them both run together using the selected pinion gears provided for each one. So let me start off by saying, this is exactly what the title states, just a baseline speed run with the Arrma Infraction 6s and the FSR Model DT 6s. I want to see what needs to be done to get the Model DT up to speed with the Infraction and see how it handles as far as drivability (drivers car). So you probably can call this Part 1 of a three part series (speed, handling, fun factor). We know that there are a lot of videos on the Arrma Infraction and if you have watched any of them we know how the Arrma Infraction handles (King Of On Road Bashing) as some would put it. Just like the Model GT another new kid on the block, lets see how the Model DT from FSR can do. I hope you enjoy the video and take this journey with me and stay till the end. Hello Riff, it been a while my friend, I'm doing well. How are you doing my friend? The new comer on the block is fast but out of the box it's nothing like the Infraction. @@sparetimerc the New WOV 1/9th racing buggy and truck from Buddy RC is simply amazing! I ordered the buggy and I was blown away by the quality of it vs price. It's German engineered and designed and totally overbuilt to be tough. All metal gears, metal cased and sealed diffs, like fron a 1/ 5th vehicle, solid aluminum chassis brace, solid aluminum drive shaft, 4s electronics, oversized drive shafts, and a composite filled chassis. It's amazing. It's like losi quality but being sold for a ridiculously low price of $329. And they are throwing in a $96. Gens ace 4s 5300 mah battery for free! I did a video about it. I couldn't believe the quality of it when I examined it. They are going to have full parts support too!

Hey ReadySet, I think this is excellent for a drivers car, it handles very well, a little tunning on the esc and diffs this will be a serious contender, now I did noticed that you have to play around with the transmitter to get it to perform the way you drive. Hi Milt, out of the box the Model DT can not compare to the Infraction, my goal is to get it as close to the infraction without changing the electronics. But it is a good RC and I think it will do me good to tweak it and see what it can do. Take care and best wishes to you and the family

Hey RCbeast, I think with the right tunning on the electronics and diff set up, this can give the Infraction a run for it's money. It also roughly $200 cheaper than the Infraction.

Hey Robby. Yes these are two fast street trucks, the Infraction is nice and sounds awesome when it zips by you. Now the FSR Model DT is a quite runner, sneak up on you and pass before you know it. This is the perfect spot for speed runs, if any of my cars decide to take flight, nothing to damage but the car, oh and probably land in the lake😂😂😂😂 I hope you have a great end of your weekend and a wonderful week this coming week. As they came screaming past you !😂😊😂 you can certainly hear there’s a speed difference between the 15t and 22t on the Arrma and the FSR GT on the 12t and 14t pinion 😊😊 is also so difficult to know if the action camera is recording or not…as if you hadn’t had your hands full enough with those fabulous RC’s at excessive speeds 😊😊great run my friend, 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊😊

Hi John, the sounds these vehicles make, I can see why some people want to get more speed. Now the Infraction you can definitely hear the difference in the speed once you change out the pinion gear, the model DT, there is a slight change but still noticeable. I must say. I was clenching up a little as they passed by as well. lol Really blowing past . wow Seemed to be flying out there... I wasn't surprised the Infraction did so well. Hello RcNickster, I get a little nervous when I do speed runs, just hoping that it stays straight when they pass by and not hit a bump or rock and veer off in any direction. I should have replaced the battery in the GoPro 10 Black but I wanted to try and get that last 12t pinion speed before that (didn't work out as planned). Im itching to get out there too, but it's only 36 degrees here in PA. Next week, it will be much warmer. I'll be out there solo and i hope to have as much fun as Al does lol. I need a new onroad RC, i think Arrma or Losi is about to surprise the RC world, so I'm waiting to see what they possibly have up their sleeve.

I think I'm gonna grab the 1/7 Hoonicorn from TA when it's finally released. I have a blue Infraction like this and have almost bought a Felony a dozen times the last few months. Amazon has had the Felony as low as $549 recently. I've just been holding off for that Hoonicorn or hoping Arrma would release a new large scale 8s Mojave or Infraction.

Hello BlenderActual, let me start off by saying, thank you for watching the video and for leaving a great comment. So how do you like the Sledge? I always wanted a Infraction, so I decided to build it from a roller chassis. and I am loving every minute I get to drive it. I think the Model DT is another great street basher not as fast as the Infraction out of the box, but a little tweaking with the esc and diffs, I think it will give the Infraction a run for it's money. @@sparetimerc the sledge is my first RC as an adult and there was a little bit of a learning curve because of how much power it has but it is an awesome little machine!! It can take an absolute beating out of the box. The spur gear is a little weak though. Upgrading that this week

Trust me I know what you mean when you say a learning curve, going from the Granite Mega to the Notorious 6S, big difference in the power and handling. Hope everything goes well on the upgrade. @@sparetimerc I’m just replacing it with an oem spur gear but going with the machined version rather than the stock cast spur gear they put on. I also got the M2C motor mount I’ll be installing to hopefully hold everything together a little better

Hi Joe, I like the Infraction also, This is based off the FTX/FSR Model GT people compare that vehicle to the Felony. Just looking at different RC to have and enjoy.

Thanks Fonzie, that means a lot to me. I was a bit surprised with the Model DT on the 14t pinion, now if FSR put the 14t pinion in off the bat and then it would be up there with the infraction out of the box. I have plans to start off with a 18t pinion then work my way up, a additional fan on the motor and a larger one on the esc and I think this thing will be a rocket without and thermal shutdown. Did you run it on 8s? It's an 8s truck I believe, not 6s.

@Fonzierc Hi Fonzie, yes, this is the 6s version. I was going to get the 8S version, but my opinion is that it wouldn't be a good comparison with the Infraction 6s

Like Fonzie stated, this model is the 6s version. There is an 8S model, but you truly can't compare that model with any other 6s street basher.

Hello JvD, 1650kv? The DT 8s I couldn't tell you what it does on 8s it's claimed to do 100mph out the box.

The 6s Infraction uses a 46t spur gear. Now If I would have used the 25t pinion that came with this roller I'm pretty sure It would have hit more than 82+mph

Do the DBhoons fit under the DT?

The dBoot Hoons does fit on the Model DT, the tire diameter are the same may rub on the inside because the hoons are a tad taller.

@@sparetimerc Nothing more to say.. FS racing is the manufacturer of Arrma 6s rigs and used to build all their rigs before horizon bought them out.

I got back into the hobby roughly 2 1/2 years ago and Arrma was the first real hobby grade RC that I purchased, so I just figured that Arrma was manufacturing their own product and HH bought them out. I hope you think about this I did a warm up then two passes with a 15t pinion gear, then changed it over to the 22t pinion battery was probably at 50% before the first pass with the 22t pinion. Also I didn't have the fans running while doing this. so the motor and esc got warm very quickly. I hope to see more of these type of comments from you in the future. Take care and stay safe.
