I test these cars within their limits and try to point any weakness (if I find any) and I thought launching my cars off a BMX jump would be doing it justice, but nope... You sir, take it into another dimension. Now I know why guys want to make tower-to-tower braces and T-Bone everything. Lol The only difference between what I saw here and what I see from some others is that you guys actually managed to land your cars on all 4's. I'm convinced there are people out there that THINK they can do this and, quite honestly, may as well be driving blindfolded and using their feet to control these cars. Well done to all involved. I can admit I've exceeded the reasonable limits of these rigs on several occasions 😨. But I've also gained an intimate knowledge of what these rigs can and can't handle most times anyways. Landing on all 4's is a must 👊. Most breakages I experience are completely my fault or from occasional power loss mid-air 😱. Quality key upgrades make a huge difference of course 👌. Yo rich I got my first used premounted set of 3.8 badlands for 69$ free shipping off eBay but look brand new. I did the 50 pound fishing line and glue method to control some of the ballooning. Try it out. Just wrap it around 3 or 4 times

Nadeem Ansari I'd say land as squarely as possible when possible 👊. Hard one wheel first landings are the most common way to bend dogbones. I still bend them on occasion but just restrainten them in the vice using PVC pipe for leverage. 😎💪👊👊

As soon as it cools off a little, I'm stepping up to 18 tooth pinion from a 17 for a little more push! 3:52 was nuts bro! I probably would have flopped that landing! Still running 100k center, but will probably go up. 500k has been working great in the Kraton 👊. Appreciate the feedback about yours 👌. Sorta waiting for some moisture to see how the dirt goes. Traction and handling completely changed once the rain hit last year. Might go up a tooth, but 16T has worked good overall. The fans crap out and they friggin go thermal 😅😅. Yeah that lid smacker was pretty harsh...Lol!!! David is getting some Voltage on his Notorious soon👌. Such a FUN group session. AWESOME to finally get Jeff back out 😰. Is this chassis necessary for someone that's just going to be doing high jumps not at a skate park not at a bike track I don't plan on landing on the actual chassis where I'm going to be doing my bashing so is upgrading the chassis necessary for my type of bashing I can see that it would be in your situation but what are your thoughts on chassis upgrade for someone like myself that's just doing high jumps

Nikolai it's a homemade aluminum tower to tower brace 👊. It's notched at the front to rest on the tower. It's held on with 3 zip ties total. The purpose is to help the chassis supports. It protects your chassis and center driveline from getting bent up. You'll see a close-up in my next upload this evening. Loading an upgrade vid about my V3 Kraton. Hey rich awesome video as usual.. I have an outcast and kraton love them and I recently found a deal on a clean Tekno eB 48.2 hobbywing esc 1800kv motor futaba servo for under 300. My question is could I turn it into a basher that’s similar to a mt410 for relatively cheap or should I just hold off. I’m not really into buggies for some reason. I like the stunt truck style for my use.

How hot do your motor and esc usually get on the outcast? Is it okay if they’re too hot to touch?

MOTO yes it's perfectly normal to get hot too the touch. Best bet is to grab a cheap pocket temp gun and record actual numbers. I gear my motors to around 150°F for best efficiency. ESC I like to keep below 140. Temps above these are getting toasty. 170°F is the hottest I'm comfortable with (motor temps.) Harbour freight sells a great pocket size infared temp gun for 11-13$. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

CraigsRC cRC it's just 1/2" aluminum tube from Home Depot 👊. I notch it to straddle the front tower and it rests against the rear tower on the chassis support stop. I tunnel mine through the center body support. Just zip ties down on each end for easy removal. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I changed my outcast diff fluid to 50k,80k,10k and my front and center diffs are both wrecked within 30 seconds. Any advice to not destroy my diffs again?

duffy1298 that weight diff fluid won't destroy your diffs. I've ran 50/100/20k front to rear for almost 2 years now in mine. I suspect something else went amiss. Did your truck sound normal on takeoff 🤔?? Were you just driving straight when they locked up or stripped?? Are you certain you put them back together like the schematic in the manual? Don't mean to barrage you with questions, but I'd like to help. I shim my diffs just like Thomas P of tppartsrc-Xtreme in his "bulletproofing diffs" how to video. Is it possible you put the front diff in backwards with the crown gear on the right side instead of the left? Only asking cuz I've done that during a tired moment. 🤘🤘

Rich Duperbash it wound up being a broken drive gear in the front and the center diff was fine it just needed more fluid. I really appreciate the help man your trucks are sick

R/C Insanity yes I do Brother 👊. Mine is a simple Hero4 Session. The newer ones have more features and better stabilization. I just wear mine on a backwards baseball cap. They're very easy to use and link to your phone. 🍻🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

ZacTastic thanks so much brother 👊!!! The Outcast is much more wild than the Kraton, but it's MAD fun to whip around 👌. It's not nearly as stable, but it is a stunt truck in the end 😰. The Badlands reign supreme for quick handling and sharp control, but they don't have the same wheel mass for quick flips or extra cushion for landings as the Backflips. I actually love both tires. They just handle totally different from one another. The Badlands offer a quicker more planted feel with the weight savings and 1/2" offset. The Backflips are much taller and more capable on rougher terrain. I couldn't say one is all around better than the other. Both are BADASS. 🍻🤘🤘😰😰😰😎💪👊👊

Jesse Co yes I reinforce them with either shoe goo or E6000 industrial strength glue and drywall mesh tape👊. I've also tried Flexseal rubberized spray, layers of Gorilla tape heated together, and Industrial strength hot glue and mesh. All of these techniques have helped fight cracks and splits. The Flexseal is by far the easiest to apply, but it hasn't been as strong as Shoe goo or E6000. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
