AND lets not forget how DC had a character called Captain Marvel before Marvel was called Marvel. Then they change their company name to Marvel and make a character called Captain Marvel. Another example. Deadpool = Deathstroke completely. Deadpool/Deathstroke, Wade Wilson/Slade Wilson, both fight with two swords, both have been on the darker side of things and then semi redeemed and been heroes, both have very similar backstories, and BOTH have almost unmatched skills with swords. GUESS WHICH WAS MADE FIRST? Deathstroke. Those are TWO of many copies.

She's probably one of the most fitting people to be there at the end with him, considering she was the one there when it all began on the Queen's Gambit. It was also important to have Sara there for her _own_ character arc, as she says next episode, Oliver was her final connection to her old life. I was also a little surprised Felicity, Diggle, etc weren't there (plotwise obviously they couldn't be but those are still the most important people to Oliver), but they still got a fitting farewell to Oliver in the actual series finale for Arrow. If anyone was a weird choice to have at his death it was Barry, I know they're close, but not as close as John and Oliver, and unlike Sara they met after Oliver's time on the island, he wasn't essential in shaping who Oliver is. But I guess he made the most sense out of all the other paragons.

His parents had such a true love that inspired him through his whole life even after he lost his mother and then the love for the West’s that Iris even said made them a family again. Barry even made his enemies jealous of his kindness I think. Cause all Barry’s enemies were jealous of what he had. His powers but probably also how he used them for good. That’s why Zoom tried to destroy him and turn him into a monster but he didn’t succeed. Even Savitar had a soft spot for Iris deep down despite having to kill her. And then there’s Barry inspiring Oliver and Snart and other troubled heroes to become better. To be heroes and make grand sacrifices cause that’s what Barry would do. They all look up to him.

I must say i think oliver queens’ character is so much more than iron man or any of the marvel superheroes. The journey he went on and all the things that made him who he was at the end. He literally went through every kind if hell possible. And the way he battles the good and the bad in him. Yes marvel have amazing production and i am a super fan of their movies, but characters wise the arrow is far ahead of any marvel superhero.

@@trevon2149 if I were to answer all the reasons I ship them we’d be here all day lol. But the main reason was actually Stephen Amell (yk Oliver Queen himself) when he tweeted “I ship it.” to them hugging on the set of Elseworlds and that made me think about all the romantic hints and realized how much the actors have fed the ship over the years. Stephen constantly mentioned how Barry brought out the best in Oliver. Felicity just yelled at him. Laurel brought out the cheater in him. Sara and him were way too damaged for each other. But Barry made Oliver smile more than anyone. So that’s why I ship them. The actors bromance and the way they fed it and the actual hints they have. Especially early on Felicity even said “sounds like you wanna date him” and Barry just chuckled nervously.
