The way I see it, since the Hollywood studios want to move towards a digital and streaming feature, I think it would be in their best interest to restore and remaster *_ALL_* of their film and television output for the future. If that means upscaling something like *_Hercules_* and *_Xena,_* even with A.I., then so be it. Providing they're in the right hands that know how to use it properly, of course.

*_Superman: The Expanded Edition, Superman Returns,_* and *_Supergirl_* all need a 4K release. It's shame that they weren't in the recent *_Superman_* 4K set.

Unfortunately SR is "tied" to two controversies. That could be a reason Warner doesn´t want to touch that title again.

And SR was neither a big hit or a critical darling to suggest the movie would sell like cupcakes. It never had a resurgence at some point. Which on the other hand a new version could help with. 😉

It always breaks my little geek heart whenever RMB says that the 2-disc Special Edition of *_Superman Returns_* didn't push the needle on sales, because A: special features, when comprehensive are cool, and B: that documentary of his was as entertaining as the movie.

Agreed. Like he said, "normal" consumers were just interested in the movie itself at that time. And it is/was the cheaper option to buy. You may watch the movie multiple times. But perhaps not the making of.

I’ve been collecting Mubi for 4 years now they never have long features sometimes none at all just the film, they do release some excellent curated world cinema though. Ironically there is a 30 min behind the scenes feature on The Substance on KZbin.

I have the Kino 4Ks of The Dollars Trilogy, and I'm not really that into those 3 films....But knowing Damn Fool Idealistic Crusader was involved with the restoration with Arrow Video? An immediate pre-order for me. Btw, Section 31 still sucks donkey balls....Before I watched it, I thought you guys were probably being excessive Trek purists. But, no, Section 31 really is THAT bad.

It is. Even if you take the ST umbrella out of the equation and just want to see a Space Action Adventure it fails. Being under the ST umbrella makes it extremely bad.

It's honestly shocking how bad Section 31 is, when you consider the money they poured into it.....Discovery showed Trek has lowered the bar in regard to creative control, but this is another level. I liked some of Discovery, here or there (mainly seasons 2 & 3). Section 31 is unwatchable. I had to force myself through it.
