Malcom Merlyn is simply one of the best characters of Arrow. Not as a villain but as anti-hero. The way he uses irony, his will to protect Thea and the times he joins the team make him a top 5 character in the Arrowverse

Nahh, Malcolm Merlyn is better as a villian even though he is decent as an anti-hero. In the first season his motivation, determination and charisma is just awesome, he thinks of himself as the hero and does what he does for his family and for the greater good (at least that's what he thinks). As anti-hero he either does something for Thea or his personal benefit.

Malcolm Merlin was talented and very capable of ending the Green Arrow on any occasion... however in his heart he was always a father figure, trying to protect those he loved. The lesson is how we choose to do that... How do we truly find the right way to protect our family, our community or nation... On each level things change and Arrow learned of it all and what could truly happen on both ends of the spectrum... This was Malcolm's lesson taught by Oliver

merlyns theme is my favourite, because it doesnt sound badass and dangerous like every other villian theme (that doesnt mean they are bad, they are awesome too!). Wyatt Koski most people think season 6 is the worst, and season 7 isn’t all that better, season 4 had a lot of good moments, if you were to rewatch arrow and binge it season 4 isn’t the best but it isn’t as bad as everyone says. Arrow went way downhill after season 5 but season 8 is very promising

Malcolm merlin is the best villain of Arrow: i love his story, personality, fighting skills, character. Especially his story: it started atleast 5 years before the queens sabotage, and its a hell of story: kind of Batman if he grew up as a killing vigilante. From this point of view, dark Archer outruns Deathstroke, who stand still as the most dreadful and intimidating
