Ah, Disney's Robin Hood. Probably my favourite movie of all time. No idea why, I didn't grow up with it or anything. Something about it just... brings me comfort... Maybe it's my love for both animation and the medieval era. In fact, most medieval movies seem to have that effect on me. I feel this strange nostalgic sensation, like it was the era I was meant to be in, but missed out on it. It sounds weird, but... Does anyone else feel kinda like they're... Lost in time? Or is it just me?

Groovy beat with a clear message about insecurities about love... That's how Bill Bailey would see it... and so do I! love it! Brings back childhood memories of a great animated movie.

What a lovely little tribute! Robin Hood was always one of my favorite Disney movies, and you've managed to capture the innocent romance that I love so much! Well done!

It really casts the inimitable, enigmatic aura that is Pogo-- the dreamy quality that overtakes with the SOUND. *grins* 5'd and fav'd, as you already know. You're the bon-diggety, man'g. *grins* I surely do hope Mr. Bertke takes a listen here!
@SkyeGuy15 жыл бұрын
The speech used at the beginning, in the ways of standard Pogo format, is intriguing and an anticipatory fade into the magick of the musick. And when the remixed orchestra tidbits kicked in, I was INSTANTLY impressed. You REALLY captured Pogo's ethereal quality in those riffs-- it's VERY emotional-- it echoes and lilts on some memory of a time before! Glory. *grins*

kudos, i think this should become a genre into itself. seems like pogo is the type of guy that would be down for it too. His willingness to share his workflows and hardware has been a real inspiration both in my tools and my attitudes towards creating and sharing music. It's like a John Peel philosophy.
@SkyeGuy15 жыл бұрын
And all the dialogue chosen throughout the entire song is VERY reminiscent of Carry On Cruising's dialogue used in Go Out and Love Someone, but with plenty of diff'rent content to keep it from seeming some unimaginative knock-off. All the video footage cobbled together equally enhances the song in its sheer beauty. -- I mean, REALLY, some of those reaction shots to the music are just EXPERTLY chosen.

I can't help but comment once more. I do notice the loudness of the beats compared to the audio, but it's so good, I don't care. In my opinion, the entire thing blends completely together and the beats and vocals go PERFECTLY together. There is NOTHING about this song that I dislike whatsoever, save that it's not very long. @Telekarte I started sampling April 14 last year, when I got my self a copy of Fruity loops after I found out Pogo used it . My first ambition was to make a Wall-e mix. After countless amounts of loops made there never did arise a Wall-e mix and especially seeing that Pogo had made his own. I also had films like Pete's Dragon and The Rescuers all of which I was never happy but still was a way for me to satisfy my passion for sampling. I then moved on to other films that I am working on now.

My eyes popped right open like Robin's the moment I heard the song boot up, too! And the fade-out gets me every time-- really great use of the Auto Wah-Flanger filter. Now, here's some things I think didn't quite work. The dialogue sections all have background scoring-- which tends to clash with your ACTUAL music in unwanted ways.

Also, this only happened, like, TWICE this time-- in Walking on a Dream, it was way more-- but make sure when you're editing, you don't leave split-second remains of one shot when going over to the next. I think that's one of the things that really will distinguish the quality-- how clean the cuts are between scenes. Also, one last positive comment: your use of the female vocals from Love is heavenly-- your sampling was just utterly PERFECT.
