Your honest about your shooting. Most other guys and girls are full of it. Keep hammering!
@clenzyson8 жыл бұрын
I can't believe you guys are really commenting on her fletching??!!! LOL O.k. Here's a suggestion for you Allie. Try shooting groups of three arrows. I guarantee your groups will be tighter.

Great vid. Like how you show all your groupings and honest about it.

Try numbering the arrows then turn the nocks one vane for the ones that dont stay in the group. It really works. That's why I fletch all my arrows the same color. Have fun and good luck
@ralphchurch22636 жыл бұрын
Billgotskill B 👍 yup you know your shit. I gave the same advise before reading the comments haha.
@bownero8 жыл бұрын
Just remember to get your index finger curled around the trigger and pull through the shot. Really focus on a spot on the target and let that pin float there. If you plan on shooting longer distances, I would fletch your arrows using just a 1 to 3 deg offset and not so much helical. To much helical will slow those arrows down. Keep up the great work! You got this!
@JohnathanAulabaugh8 жыл бұрын
those vanes looked like they had a heck of an over twist.
@ralphchurch22636 жыл бұрын
Hip quiver girl lol. I'd try turning the nocks. And refletch with the four vane. The ones you dip in hot water are awesome. And they spin faster and straighter. You will be amazed. 👍 but awesome shooting Allie.

Allie I agree you should be shooting less arrows at a time 3 or4 at the most because fatigue will cause you to make changes that are not related to your setup but you punching the trigger or dropping the bow arm. You will never be as accurate as you want to be if you are punching the trigger or torquing the bow with a tight grip, which, will cause you to shoot left or right depending on the amount of torque you induce. I would shoot 3 or 4 sessions before making any sight changes because then you know it's not a one time thing that may be related to your form or fatigue. If you go to the Nock On KZbin page John Dudely has some excellent information on form and shooting. The other question I had was how did you decide on your arrow spine without knowing your bow weight? I know it doesn't seem like 2 lbs would make a difference, in most cases you would select the stiffer spine anyway, but it's always good to know exactly what your bow specs are for tuning and setup. Roger,

If you really want your arrows to pull out of your targets easily, then spray the arrow shafts down with heavy duty silicone. You will definitely notice the difference!

Any issues with them getting bent a bit over time during target shooting? I heard they can flex and bend a bit when pulling them out. Probably not as issue if your careful pulling them out
@OutdoorsAllie Жыл бұрын
I haven't had an issue in the target. They can get dinged and dented though if you miss.
@johnpulliam82857 жыл бұрын
If you are anything like me, ditch the target you have and get one that has an outline of an animal with their vitals..........it is amazing the difference you will be shooting.

try shooting a hinge release. Takes awhile to get used to but it really helps tighten up your groups
@OutdoorsAllie2 жыл бұрын
I bought one but haven't become comfortable with it yet.
@indyblrmkr8332 жыл бұрын
@@OutdoorsAllie well, I’ve watched a few of your vids. I enjoy them. You have a great sense of humor. I became comfortable with it immediately. What weight do you normally shoot? Just wondering. Maybe before buying some new mods just play with the draw weight with your limb bolts. And if you have any questions about the V3 or V3X series, just ask me. I’m very familiar with just about everything on them and what a lot of problems people have with them. A lot of pro shops literally want to hurry up and give quick answers or quick fixes. I’ve been hooked on many bows in my life but have found nothing that compares to the V3 or V3X’s.
@indyblrmkr8332 жыл бұрын
Oh, I’m sorry, you’re talking about the hinge release and not your bow. I’m sorry. It took me about a day of shooting with a hinge before I got used to it. Just don’t be afraid of it. Make sure not to set it too hot the first couple days that you use it. When you draw back, at the beginning of your draw cycle, automatically start rotating your hand counter clockwise and you will never have a pre ready shot. That was my fear. It letting the string go before I wanted it to. Just try that. Right when you start to draw, immediately turn your hand counter clockwise. It will feel a lot more natural. And your anchor should be the space in between your index knuckle and your middle finger knuckle hugging your jaw bone directly under your ear dead center of your jaw bone meeting dead center with the space in between those knuckles.

So I see you may be new to Archery , first thing I just want to give some advice not telling you what to do! When sighting in if your shooting low follow the arrow and move the sight down. if you are 2 inches low you may have to move the sight much lower , but shoot it till the sight bottoms out. this will move the arrow toward the bulls eye. the same goes for left and right. Always follow the arrow! next have the bow tuned , which is what you should do first. Having a professional bow tuner help you is worth every penny and helps ensure better shooting and less time adjusting the sight. Next is proper arrow tuning which if you start looking on you tube you can really figure out. I hope this helps in your further endeavors in bow hunting. I hope I didn't offend you in anyway as writing on these posts can set insanity off in people.

Not sure of the name of the song but definitely Steele Drivers. Think I heard two songs in this video. My favorite too. You have to be the best woman out there. All the right stuff, and not bad looking either. Seriously though, I have been looking through your videos and plan on continuing to follow you. I hope a lot of women follow your lead and see what the outdoors has to offer. Keep up the good work!

try cutting out a piece of cardboard the size of the target and just put a black square in the middle. that should help you focus on one point and not have any extra stuff in your view. helped me shrink my groups up pretty good. otherwise, love your videos!

im curious as to why you switched to FMJ's. They are great arrows. I shot them for almost a decade. my concern is that heavy arrows generally require a longer draw and more weight. with a shorter draw length and draw weight you could have problems with penetration, wind, pin placement and shooting between pins.
@boundlessobsession62668 жыл бұрын
actually all else being equal arrow weight increases penetration especially at lower poundage and weight. It's called momentum.

Nice bow! My first bow was a Hoyt Defiant Carbonite with the first set of split limbs Hoyt ever came out with. It was sick back then. Now I have a Carbon Spyder 30 and I switch between Eason FMJ's for big critters like elk and Gold Tip Velocities when speed is more critical than penetration. Some of these comments are crazy. I guess some guys just go nuts over pretty girls. Thank the Lord for yoga pants though!

Forget what everyone on here is telling you.yes it is important to have a tuned bow, good follow-through, consistent anchor, etc...but listening to all of this will cause you to over complicate things. The main thing is to be relaxed when shooting and focus on the task...hitting the target. You can't shoot right if you have a checklist goin on in your head. Yes you seem inconsistent, but more than likely it's not the bow. maybe try shootin one arrow at a time. For some reason people tend to subconsciously adjust their point of aim (or lose confidence while shooting) if they see their arrows all around the target. Just relax. Break the bow out and shoot without trying to be as precise as possible. I'd be willing to bet it helps👌

Shoot 2 or 3 arrow groups at 20 yrds till you are dialed in and then move out from there .
@deltatrader728 жыл бұрын
The editing in these vids makes me giggle! Have you worked out the kinetic energy numbers from your setup? You shoot well. Might want to fling fewer arrows at a time (like 3). Easy to get fatigued shooting 6 or 7. Your first group was money.

@jjhnvhn8 жыл бұрын
they look like AAE max hunters. I shoot the same vans on 5MM FMJ's and i have an even bigger helical on mine all its going to do is slow your arrow down and make it spin more which should make them more accurate.

thank you. always wanted to try AAE vanes on my arrows. how do they stack up against blazer ?

+Tim Im not real sure i haven't shot blazers in around 3-4 years. I know that the theory behind the design is to have more surface area but still be small.

Is anybody teaching you to shoot? You mention that you're shooting like crap. Your bow hand is too tense, your bow arm should be straight and you are punching your trigger in the vid. Your alignment looks pretty good from the sideish angle and your shoulders are low and back, both good things. If your bow arm was straight, you would be using bone to support the draw and you could relax your bow hand. Both will help you with steadiness and consistency. Get the trigger of your release deep on your finger and pull the trigger by rotating your elbow around your spine against the wall. Sort of hard to describe without writing more of a book than I already have.
@XxPackerManxX8 жыл бұрын
I'd only use three Arrows to sight in. I personally don't care for the sight your using. It's a POS IMO. I would also like to know what color thong you're wearing.
