Making your own arrow is more of a accomplishment then looking for one cause any one can just look on the ground for one but your arrow you make is your craft of a one of a kind
@PtownRockhound2 жыл бұрын
I do flint knap and enjoy making my own. And do a fairly good job at it. But finding one I believe is a better accomplishment. It's an item from the past that is now found and saved for future reference. I will agree and say that yes anyone can find one but it's those people and their character who find them that matter. If their heart is in the right place then good will come. But if they are just searching to out do another or spike up their ego their heart isn't in it for the good but for greed.

.That's right my friend, the search is very intense and tiring but there is almost always gratification. The last time I hunted we were in 6 different places and we found one that left us satisfied. All your finds were quality mate, wow. Sometimes when you go back to the car you find the best pieces and sometimes meters from where you get off the car. It is difficult to search in the water and in the sands. In the snow or in the sun. HAPPY WEEKEND MY FRIEND.

Anybody ever wonder how many arrowheads are in our roads, side walks, and parking lots?

Hard telling but more than likely if it's gravel from a creekbed Missouri it's probably got an artifact in it🤣

You should have seen the arrowhead hunting Adventure I had after this one one of the best trips out in a very long time. Put it this way I came to almost 50 pieces broken and whole during that trip💪

Nice saves, I can't believe how clean those creeks are. Most of the ones around me are covered in green/black slime year round
@PtownRockhound2 жыл бұрын
The creeks get just as dirty here too but after a good rain it's usually washes most of that film off for a few days afterwards. That's when it's time to put in that work! Best of luck on your next trip hunting. 👊

@@PtownRockhound thanks, most people who have seen the Rocky Mountains say the Blue Ridge mtns are hills but they always seem to reduce the amount of rain that gets my way by 80% or more. The only time it pours here is from hurricanes or a noreaster so we probably have 3 or more years of slime right now. Way too slick for walking unless you don't mind your back pockets full of water. GL out there
