Lovely little model. The small foamies are beautiful these days. I love my little Durafly Spit V. Can get 14 mins of trickling about if I'm careful. Looks beautiful over the water.

Hi guys, just got hold of one of these, want to put a bigger esc in, any idea how the cowl comes off ? Don't want to break anything Cheers

no idea mick, shes hanging in the back of my shed so cant get to her, must be some screws in through the front of the cowl if not on the outside !

@@tbobborap1 Ok, cheers. Looks like the plastic dummy engine comes off the front, then the motor out, allowing access to the esc. Long winded way of doing it, but cant see any other option Cheers..Mick

Hey Pete and Deano! Great flight, video and interaction mates! Lovely little plane, had mine for weeks but the winter here just won't quit, going below zero again been crazy record snow, ice and low temps... UGH! Cool that it will take a 4S so might have to try it! Thumbs up! Cheers mates!

@@tbobborap1 sounds good if it's still taking the 4s on full throttle.. Have you tried the arrows trojan 1.1m..? I'm choosing between the arrows bearcat, p51, trojan? Any thoughts?

I'm surprised it hasn't gone bang with a 4s. I bench tested mine on 4s with the standard prop esc and motor and it drew 60amps. I got scared and abandoned the idea!

I enjoyed your video very much. My model was completely unflyable on the maiden using 2200mah 4S, C of G 90mm back from leading edge. It was monumentally and fatefully tail-heavy. The ESC is indeed only 40A but it will deliver 55A transiently. In my view this plane needs respecifying by the manufacturer as the instructions re. Centre of Gravity and battery aren't at all helpful. My model is repaired with 135g of ballast right up front, a 1450kv motor and an 80A ESC. A better solution than ballast would be a > 400g battery, typically 3500 4S or bigger. Nice flying BTW.

thats strange WS as all we did was pop a 4 cell 2200mah lipo in her and fly - as in the video ! shes still flying today with no probs or changes !
