Absolutely, I failed to see it on the first replay, but then I thought it would be silly of Gabriel to say it hit his chest first when we have all this technology that would bring his claim down, I rewatched it 2 more times and I was able to see it, not a penalty

not to mention, the reason they didn't give the penalty was because of proximity, which is stated right in the rulebook. It would've been incredibly harsh to award a penalty when it was impossible for him to react quick enough to move his hand out of the way.

As an arsenal fan, I as it is a clear cut penalty, Nketia had the same thing go against him last week, there was no debate. I remember one against David Luis and no body said anything (okay that was a different season different guide lines). But I am not going to listen to people wait for things that have happened against us come up for debate the day it happens to favor us. I’m tired of it. We couldn’t complain when we were losing. I feel like I can start getting this off my chest now that we are winning because people can say it cause we’re sore losers. We won fair and square and deserved it.

In the Arsenal/Liverpool game I noticed that Salah wasn't around -- there was a break where Liverpool got the ball midfield and broke towards goal but Salah was no where to be seen. Either he's got an injury or his confidence is shot. Klopp needs to sit him down, maybe a game where he doesn't start and isn't listed as a sub and maybe another game or two where he doesn't start. He's 30, so he shouldn't be 'too old' though he may be slowing. Honestly, when a goal scorer isn't scoring the team usually does poorly. Vardy is without a goal this season and he's been riding the bench a lot -- maybe last season?

Arsenal scored against Manu first, but VAR reviewed the footage that lead to goal, and it was cancelled. What a Joke! with that approach, full footage of match till that goal should be reviewed to make sure there was no foul till that goal! When Manu won against us, we as well as group of commentators didnt complain, now that Liverpool lost, even commentators have started crying in favor of Liverpool! Such a biased group.

what a load of rubbish about the penalty, Jesus didn't go down because of the contact, he was already off balance and was going to fall and in the replays, you can see his foot stopped mid swing because of Tiago's foot. I'm sorry your predicted team to challenge City for the pooping the bed, but if we want to nitpick, there were plenty of decisions that went against Arsenal as well. Martinelli got shoved 2 yards out of bounds and nothing was given, Elliot pathetically dived in the box for no card or foul, and then Jesus got elbowed in the nose, and got a broken nose for no card. So boo hoo, how about Liverpool stop complaining and start prepping for the City game cause your season is circling the drain.

As an Arsenal fan I can agree that I have seen that called as a handball plenty of times. I wld generally say it's an unfair call but we definitely were lucky they didnt call it. The penalty is more 50/50. It was definitely soft but I have seen similar penalties called before. All in all though I think the better team on the day won the game as I do feel Arsenal were better than Liverpool overall.

am proud of that win and the display by our boys especially the second half. these are decisions that have gone against us previously like last season when arsenal players got quick yellow cards that amounted to questionable red cards eg the ars-man city game. so understand when i say i dont sympathize with liverpool for those decisions by the referees cause they are calls that are being scrutinized on opinions so its evident they are not obvious errors. also its not obvious that when the ball hits your hand its a penalty. handball rules are revised almost every season so we need to be conversant with them before we criticize the referee. all in all i believe it was a deserved win for the gunners!!! COYG!!!!

Arsenal fan here …yes it was a soft penalty but arsenal played well and deserved to win (and probably would’ve won regardless). Referee decisions need to be more consistent (we all know that) but point is these things usually even out throughout a season.
